Bhagalpur (Bihar), May 19 (ANI): Nine migrant workers were killed and countless injured after a truck and bus carrying migrant labourers collided with each other in Bihar's Bhagalpur on May 19. The mishap took place at National Highway-31 in Bhagalpur's Naugachia. The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, evacuation operation is underway.
Gaya (Bihar), May 18 (ANI): A special repatriation flight carrying Indian nationals from London airport arrived at the Gaya International Airport on May 19. The evacuation of stranded Indians abroad is being carried under Vande Bharat Mission. The mission is in its second phase of operation.
Mahoba (UP), May 19 (ANI): Three migrant labourers were killed and over 12 sustained injuries after a DCM vehicle carrying them overturned on Jhansi-Mirzapur highway, on May 18. About 17 persons were travelling in the vehicle. The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital. The bus originated from the national capital to Uttar Pradesh.
New Delhi, May 19 (ANI): Special train carrying passengers from Jammu arrived at New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) on May 19. All passengers were screened after they reached the railway station, as per guidelines by the government. "We didn't face any problem while travelling," a passenger said.
New Delhi, May 19 (ANI): Amid fourth phase of nationwide lockdown, taxi services resumed in Delhi from May 19. Taxi drivers in Delhi are happy and welcomed the decision of the government. Nationwide lockdown has been extended till May 31 with more relaxations. While speaking to ANI, some taxi drivers expressed their feelings. "We welcome government's decision to resume taxi services. Taxis can operate with only 2 passengers at a time in a car," a taxi driver said. "We welcome and thank central government and state government' decision," another driver said. Meanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 cases in national capital crossed 10,000-mark.
Yavatmal (Maharashtra), May 19 (ANI): Four migrant workers killed and 15 were injured after a bus they were travelling in crashed into a truck, in Maharashtra's Yavatmal on May 19. The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital. The bus was travelling from Solapur to Jharkhand.
New Delhi, May 19 (ANI): 54 buses carrying migrant workers reached at Anand Vihar railway station. Around 1350 migrant workers have boarded these buses. These migrant workers will go to Uttar Pradesh from Delhi via special trains. Nationwide lockdown is extended till May 31 in view of coronavirus.
New Delhi, May 19 (ANI): Apple is all set to open 25 more of its stores in the US and 12 in Canada, but people who will be visiting the stores will be required to wear a face mask. If the person is not wearing a mask, then it will be provided by the store itself. Temperature checks will also be conducted at the door, Engadget reported. Last month, the company had decided to close all of its stores due to the coronavirus. Apple has gradually started opening its store from last week in Idaho, South Carolina, Alabama and Alaska.The company is also enforcing steps like social distancing in its stores and will use a full-time janitorial staff to clean the store every hour.

Bhubaneswar (Odisha), May 19 (ANI): As cyclone 'Amphan' is approaching Odisha, the State has to evacuate around 50,000 to 60,000 people, said Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy. While speaking to ANI, he said, "Going with the past experiences, we are taking IMD forecast seriously. We will have to evacuate around 50,000-60,000 people. 1000 personnel of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and 600 NDRF officials have been deployed. The Honorable Chief Minister has reviewed the situation and coordination between various departments." Cyclone Amphan is likely to make landfall in between Sagar Island (West Bengal) and Hatiya Islands (Bangladesh) on May 20.
New Delhi, May 19 (ANI): A new paper from the emergency medicine doctors highlights that the coronavirus can cause cardiovascular complications including heart attacks, heart failures, and blood clots, which in turn can lead to strokes. The new paper from UVA (University of Virginia) Health's William Brady, MD, and colleagues aims to serve as a guide for emergency-medicine doctors treating patients who may have or are known to have COVID-19. The authors note that much attention has been paid to the pulmonary (breathing) complications of COVID-19, but less has been said about the cardiovascular complications that can lead to death or lasting impairment. Heart failure is a particular concern in patients with COVID-19. One study, the article authors note, found that almost a quarter of COVID-19 patients - 24 per cent -- were suffering acute heart failure when they were first diagnosed with the coronavirus. New Delhi, May 19 (ANI): Union Minister of Coal and Mines, Pralhad Joshi said that there is no question about the privatization of Coal India. He said, "Coal India will achieve 1 billion tonnes coal production by 2023-24. I also assure my brothers that Coal India as on date has enough number of coal blocks by which it can produce minimum for 50-60 years." He further said, "There is no question about the privatization of Coal India, we are strengthening and encouraging them. They need to work towards producing 1 billion tonnes, government will provide all the necessary help required in achieving this."

New Delhi, May 18 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal informed about new relaxations on transportation to be followed in national capital in fourth phase of lockdown. He said, "Carpooling or car-sharing will not be allowed for aggregators. Auto-rickshaws, e-rickshaws and cycle-rickshaws will be allowed but only with 1 passenger. For two-wheelers, pillion rider will not be allowed. There will be no activity allowed in containment zones. Buses are allowed to run but with only 20 passengers at a time. Passengers will be screened before he/she boards the bus. Transport Department will ensure that social distancing norms are followed at all bus-stops and inside the bus".
Gorakhpur (UP), May 18(ANI): Teachers returned to the centres to continued checking copies in Gorakhpur as UP Board class 10th and 12th results are to be announced in June. Social distancing measures were followed strictly during the process. Administration also provided teachers with masks, gloves and sanitizers.
New Delhi, May 18 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on May 18 briefed about relaxations to be provided in national capital on first day of lockdown 4.0. He said that private offices can open at full strength but the offices should try that most of the staff works from home. Markets can open but shops will open on odd-even basis. "Sports complexes and stadia can open but without spectators", Kejriwal added.
Noida (UP), May 18 (ANI): Eight employees of OPPO mobile company's factory in Greater Noida have tested positive for COVID-19. After the information all operations at the factory have been suspended. The operations in the factory had resumed on 8th May. District Magistrate of GautamBuddha Nagar said, "Medical Department has informed that they have been told by OPPO Company that they have received reports of 1200 people. Of them, 9 have tested positive for COVID-19, 8 from our district and 1 from Ghaziabad."
