Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Apr 19 (ANI): Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said that prisons in Maharashtra have more inmates than their actual capacity. "So we've decided to implement lockdown at Aurangabad jail -arrangements for food and stay of police personnel will be made inside jail. No one will be allowed to come out or go inside," said Home Minister. "Similar decision has been taken for 5 more jails in Maharashtra," he added.
Panaji (Goa), Apr 19 (ANI): Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant said that there are no COVID-19 positive cases reported in the state after April 03. While talking to ANI, "I am delighted to announce that currently there is not a single COVID-19 positive patient. After April 03, there is no COVID-19 positive case reported in Goa," said Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. The Chief Minister thanked his health professionals and workers of the state.

On one hand, migrant workers don't have any job to earn some pennies, on other hand they can't go back to their native homes. William, who runs a catering business in country's commercial capital, Mumbai said, "I am in double pressure right now, I have to feed myself and my workers also." However, William has sent some of workers back to village but left ones are stuck here. All of them are from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Dharavi's economy has gone down after huge number of people infected with the highly contagious COVID-19. Total number of coronavirus cases have reached to 3, 651 in Mumbai, which is the highest across the nation.

"UPSC and SSC examinations that were put on hold due to lockdown, will definitely take place. We will take a call after May 3 and reschedule dates in a manner that it gives sufficient time to all the aspirants to reach to their designated examination centers," said Union Minister, Jitendra Singh while talking to ANI.

While talking to ANI, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said, "Government has neither held any discussion nor considered cutting the pension of senior citizens. Also, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government can never take such an insensitive step of transferring the pension money of people above 80 years of age to COVID fund."
Bengaluru (Karnataka), Apr 19 (ANI): Amid the lockdown in the nation, a pregnant woman delivered a baby at dentist clinic in Bengaluru. The pregnant woman had reached the clinic along with her husband after walking for around 7 kilometers. The Dentist, Doctor Ramya, who made her delivery possible, said, "The baby wasn't responding initially, so we thought baby is dead but later we were able to resuscitate it. We sent them to hospital after the delivery."
New Delhi, Apr 19 (ANI): Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan informed that doubling rate of COVID-19 cases now turned out to be 9.7 days for the past 3 days. "I'm being told that around 95 patients, out of the 177 admitted here, will be discharged by today evening. Analysis of our data in the past few days has been satisfactory. The data is improving every day. The doubling rate of patients in the last 14 days was 6.2 days. When it was calculated for the last 7 days it turned out to be 7.2 days. It has turned out to be 9.7 days for the past 3 days. It is a good indication," said Health Minister
New Delhi, Apr 19 (ANI): Delhi Police Assistant Sub Inspector (Traffic), who tested positive of coronavirus, has been recovered. Speaking to ANI, he gave a message to all the corona positive patients. "I was on-duty in Yusuf Sarai area, when I experienced bodyache, high fever and problems in breathing. Later, I was tested COVID-19 positive. I recovered at Safdarjung Hospital in a few days only. My message to all is to have patience and stay courageous," said ASI (Traffic) Jeet Singh.
