New Delhi, May 19 (ANI): In wake of deadly COVID-19 pandemic, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on May 19 said around 65,000 migrant labourers have been sent to their respective places. Adding on it, he further said as the government gets permission from the recipient states, it will send more migrant labourers. The total number of COVID-19 cases in national capital crossed 10,000-mark.

Srinagar (J-K), May 19 (ANI): An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Nawakadal area of Srinagar on May 18. The operation was launched on a credible police input last night in Kanemazar. One Police SOG (Special Operation Group) personnel injured. The shop owners have to follow some safety norms like social distancing and hygiene. "Morning tea is important. Tea stalls opened after 2 months. People are coming for it," a customer said. Meanwhile, paan and tea shops also resumed their services in Gujarat's Rajkot from today onwards. The shop owners have to ensure that customers maintain a minimum 6 feet distance from each other and that not more than 5 people are present at one time at the shop.
Jagatsinghpur (Odisha), May 19 (ANI): In view of the impending cyclone Amphan, residents from coastal areas in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur were shifted to shelter homes. They are living in a fear of what holds for them in coming days. Adequate arrangements have been made at the shelter homes. NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) Director General SN Pradhan has informed that 37 NDRF teams have been deployed in 7 districts of Odisha. Bhagalpur (Bihar), May 19 (ANI): Nine migrant workers were killed and countless injured after a truck and bus carrying migrant labourers collided with each other in Bihar's Bhagalpur on May 19. The mishap took place at National Highway-31 in Bhagalpur's Naugachia. The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, evacuation operation is underway.
Gaya (Bihar), May 18 (ANI): A special repatriation flight carrying Indian nationals from London airport arrived at the Gaya International Airport on May 19. The evacuation of stranded Indians abroad is being carried under Vande Bharat Mission. The mission is in its second phase of operation.
Mahoba (UP), May 19 (ANI): Three migrant labourers were killed and over 12 sustained injuries after a DCM vehicle carrying them overturned on Jhansi-Mirzapur highway, on May 18. About 17 persons were travelling in the vehicle. The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital. The bus originated from the national capital to Uttar Pradesh.
New Delhi, May 19 (ANI): Special train carrying passengers from Jammu arrived at New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) on May 19. All passengers were screened after they reached the railway station, as per guidelines by the government. "We didn't face any problem while travelling," a passenger said.

Nationwide lockdown has been extended till May 31 with more relaxations. While speaking to ANI, some taxi drivers expressed their feelings. "We welcome government's decision to resume taxi services. Taxis can operate with only 2 passengers at a time in a car," a taxi driver said. "We welcome and thank central government and state government' decision," another driver said. Yavatmal (Maharashtra), May 19 (ANI): Four migrant workers killed and 15 were injured after a bus they were travelling in crashed into a truck, in Maharashtra's Yavatmal on May 19. The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital. The bus was travelling from Solapur to Jharkhand.
New Delhi, May 19 (ANI): 54 buses carrying migrant workers reached at Anand Vihar railway station. Around 1350 migrant workers have boarded these buses. These migrant workers will go to Uttar Pradesh from Delhi via special trains. Nationwide lockdown is extended till May 31 in view of coronavirus.
New Delhi, May 19 (ANI): Apple is all set to open 25 more of its stores in the US and 12 in Canada, but people who will be visiting the stores will be required to wear a face mask. If the person is not wearing a mask, then it will be provided by the store itself. Temperature checks will also be conducted at the door, Engadget reported. Last month, the company had decided to close all of its stores due to the coronavirus. Bhubaneswar (Odisha), May 19 (ANI): As cyclone 'Amphan' is approaching Odisha, the State has to evacuate around 50,000 to 60,000 people, said Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy. While speaking to ANI, he said, "Going with the past experiences, we are taking IMD forecast seriously. We will have to evacuate around 50,000-60,000 people. 1000 personnel of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and 600 NDRF officials have been deployed. The Honorable Chief Minister has reviewed the situation and coordination between various departments." Cyclone Amphan is likely to make landfall in between Sagar Island (West Bengal) and Hatiya Islands (Bangladesh) on May 20.
