New Delhi, Apr 28(ANI): Health ministry Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal informed that with 1543 new cases in the last 24 hours, the total COVID-19 positive cases in the country are now 29,435. He said that 684 patients have been cured in last 24 hours. "Our recovery rate is now 23.3 percent . This is a progressive increase in recovery rate," he added. Lav Agarwal further informed that 17 districts have not reported any case in the last 28 days, where COVID-19 cases were found previously.
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 28 (ANI): During a press conference held in Lucknow on April 28, Uttar Pradesh's Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish K Awasthi informed that each house of hotspot areas will be sanitized amid coronavirus outbreak. He said, "Uttar Pradesh Chief Minsiter, Yogi Adityanath has instructed that each house of hotspot areas will be sanitized. CM also instructed to send senior officers to Varanasi, Rampur and Hapur. Women self-help groups are asked to give the task of making masks to empower them. CM has instructed that arrangements for quarantine centers and shelter sites to be ensured in each district."
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 28 (ANI): During a press conference held in Lucknow on April 28, Uttar Pradesh's Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish K Awasthi informed that more than 50 buses have left for the students to send to their native places as of now. He said, "CM had directed to send students from Prayagraj to their native places, yesterday. Buses have started to send these students. 300 buses have been arranged and as of now, more than 50 buses have left with the students. It is an ongoing process. All the students will have their health check-ups done by the government as it is the need of the hour."
Lucknow (UP), Apr 28(ANI): Amid corona outbreak and nationwide lockdown, Uttar Pradesh Police is not only taking care of people but also taking care of stray animals. They provide them with food including bananas and 'grams' on daily basis. Lucknow Central, ADCP, Chiranjeev Nath Sinha said that we all have a role to play in the biosphere. He said, "Apart from being police officers we are human too and therefore we think we should do something for these animals too." He further said that this gives them satisfaction and therefore they feed the stray animals on daily basis.

People are not coming to buy the dairy products because of which the sellers are facing losses. "Our business is down by 90 percent . We had to throw 150-200 kg paneer in 2-3 days, now we've reduced our production as there are very less buyers", said Roshan Gupta, one of the sellers.

New Delhi, Apr 28 (ANI): Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan on Tuesday said that we will able to produce RT-PCR and antibody test kits in India by May. The processes will start after getting approval from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), he further said. "We will be able to produce RT-PCR and antibody test kits in India by May. All processes are in advanced stage and production will start after getting approval from ICMR. It will help us in meeting our target of 1 lakh tests per day by May 31," he said.

"For the last 14 days, our doubling rate is 8.7, while for the last 7 days, it is 10.2 days. In last 3 days, it is 10.9 days roughly." During the interaction, he said, "No fresh case has been reported in 80 districts since last 7 days. In 47 districts, no case has been reported in the last 14 days, while 39 districts have not reported a case since the last 21 days. Seventeen districts have not reported a case for last 28 days."

The Delhi Government on April 27 allowed plumbers and electricians to operate after a complete review of COVID-19 situation in national capital. However, the shop owners have to follow the norms by maintaining social distancing and other safety measures. "We are happy with the governments order.
