Doctors holds routine checkup of Hazrat Nizamuddin police station staff

New Delhi, Apr 05 (ANI): A team of doctors held a 'routine checkup' of Hazrat Nizamuddin police station staff. Police personnel were a part of the evacuation team that rescued over 2,000 people from the Nizamuddin Markaz building. Over 2,500 people from all over India and some from abroad had attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Nizamuddin area in Delhi last month. Over 600 of them have been tested positive for coronavirus. Meanwhile, a team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has also arrived at Nizamuddin Markaz for an investigation into the case.

Crime Branch team investigates Delhi's Nizamuddin Marzak using drone

New Delhi, Apr 05 (ANI): A team of Delhi Police Crime Branch reached at Delhi's Nizamuddin Markaz for investigation on April 05. They did videography of the affected area using drone camera for probe. DCP Crime Joy Tirkey headed the team of crime branch during investigation. Around 2300 people were brought out from Markaz amid coronavirus lockdown. An FIR has been registered against Tablighi Jamaat head Maulana Saad and others under the Epidemic Disease Act. Further investigation in the matter will continue by the team of crime branch in the coming days as well. There are total 466 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Delhi including six deaths and 15 cured. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 3030 in India and 77 deaths.

Underprivileged get free gas cylinders under PM Ujjwala Yojana in J-K's Kathua

Kathua (J-K), Apr 05 (ANI): In Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua, underprivileged sections of society are getting free gas cylinders. The people today lined up in the queue to get the free gas cylinders under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. The gas agencies are also providing the home delivery of the gas cylinders but for that, beneficiaries have to book it through website or they can order it by phone call. Rajendra Gas Service's head Surender said, "Under the Ujjwala gas scheme, the beneficiaries will get free gas cylinder for three months, more to that we will also provide home delivery so that nation can maintain the lockdown norms."

Health Minister Harsh Vardhan visits Jhajjar hospital dedicated for coronavirus

Jhajjar (Haryana), Apr 05 (ANI): Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan visited National Cancer Institute at Jhajhar. The minister checked COVID-19 preparedness at the hospital. While talking to ANI, Health Minister, Dr Harsh Vardhan said, "162 cornavirus patients are admitted here are in stable condition, there don't need ventilator yet." The minister also talked to coronavirus patients via video call here. Government made this hospital a dedicated facility to coronavirus patients. Almost 310 patients can admitted here. National Cancer Institute at Jhajjar dedicated to the nation as part of AIIMS.

COVID-19: People buy earthen lamps across India after PM Modi's call to light 'diyas'

People bought 'diyas' from market which they will light at 09:00 pm on April 05. The motive of PM Modi behind this initiative is to unite citizens in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic. On the other side people in Bihar's Patna and Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad were also seen buying 'diyas' in the market areas as a gesture to win over darkness in this time of despair due to coronavirus pandemic. PM Modi gave video message to the nation on April 03 at 09:00 am, urged people to turn off their lights for nine minutes at 09:00 pm on April 5 and light a candle or a 'diya' or even use the flashlight to mark the country's fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19: Pune based start-up develops sanitization unit to disinfect surface area

Pune (Maharashtra), Apr 05 (ANI): A start-up based in Maharashtra's Pune developed a sanitization unit to disinfect surface area. PadCare Labs developed a sanitization unit with a view to fight with coronavirus pandemic. The sanitization unit can disinfect 80 sq ft area by 99.99 percentbacterial reduction in just 15 minutes. While speaking to ANI, entrepreneur, Ajinkya Dhariya said, "This sanitization unit works on the principle of UV mechanism. This sanitization unit can disinfect 80 sq ft area by 99.99 percentbacterial reduction in just 15 minutes of timeline. Within next week we will be installing these sanitization units at a local hospital." There are total 556 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra including 24 deaths and 42 cured. COVID 19: Daily wage painter puts up 'Help Us' poster outside his house

Panchkula (Haryana), Apr 05 (ANI): Pawan Kumar, a daily wage painter has put up a 'Help Us' poster outside his house on Chandigarh-Panchkula road. The daily wage worker said, "Due to lockdown, I have got no work now. It's difficult to even buy food as I don't have any money left." He urged government to help, so that he can feed his children. The nationwide lockdown situation worsen the lives of daily wage workers, however, state governments and welfare organizations are trying their best to provide food to needy but many of them are still surviving for '2-time meal'.

COVID-19: Doda Administration seizes vehicles violating lockdown guidelines

Doda (J-K), Apr 05 (ANI): Strict action has been taken by the District Administration of J-K in Doda amid coronavirus pandemic. They took strict action against government servants who were found misusing the lockdown passes issued by the administration. Several vehicles were seized and District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode cancelled the passes which were issued to public servants. The administration has initiated strict disciplinary action against them. Guwahati Police deploy drone cameras to monitor situation amid coronavirus pandemic
