New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): In the horrific, long ongoing case of 2012 gang rape, Nirbhaya's mother, Asha Devi stated that after all the challenges, now she has no doubts on the delay of death warrant of convicts in the case. "I will only feel happy and satisfied when all the convicts will be hanged. We were happy when first death warrant was generated but since then we had to undergo several challenges. So, I hope our struggle will only end on March 03. I don't have any doubt that the death warrant will be postponed now," said Asha Devi.

Carcass of 8-year-old panther found in Rajasthan's Pratapgarh

Pratapgarh (Rajasthan), Feb 18 (ANI): Carcass of an 8-year-old panther was found in Rajasthan's Pratapgarh on February 16. Body of male panther was found in forest area of Pratapgarh. No injury marks were found on the carcass. Post-mortem was being conducted to ascertain reason of death.

Yogi Govt to table 4th budget at UP Assembly

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 18 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Government will table its fourth budget in the state Assembly on February 18. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached at the Assembly. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna reached with 'the red briefcase'. The main highlight of the budget will be infrastructure, social welfare among others. Meanwhile, Congress leaders staged protest against the state government outside Lucknow Assembly. They held placards and raised slogans against Yogi Government.

Two more Indians onboard quarantined cruise ship tested positive for coronavirus

New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): Two more Indians stranded on the cruise ship Diamond Princess have been tested positive for coronavirus. The four Indian crew members who were earlier tested positive with the deadly disease are stable and receiving treatment. Around 99 new Covid-19 positive cases have been reported onboard Diamond Princess. Meanwhile, death toll in mainland China have jumped over 1800. Wuhan hospital director also passed away today due to the deadly disease.

Want a leader who is empowered, not anyone's hanger: Prashant Kishor

Patna (Bihar), Feb 18 (ANI): In a press conference held in Patna, political strategist Prashant Kishor told the reasons of differences between him and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He said, "There are two reasons of our differences. First and foremost is the ideological positioning. I have this dilemma that if you preach Gandhi's ideology then why you are following Godse's ideology or why are you with those who are following it. Our second problem is with Nitish Kumar's positioning in JD(U). We want a leader who is empowered and who is not hanger-on in speaking his words for betterment of Bihar." Recently, political strategist Prashant Kishor got excluded from Nitish Kumar-led JD(U) .

Mangaluru restaurant offers complementary biryani to blood donors

Mangaluru (Karnataka), Feb 18 (ANI): In a bid to encourage people to donate blood, a restaurant provided complementary biryani to those who donated blood in Karnataka's Mangaluru. 'Utada Mane', a biryani lounge provided complementary biryani to blood donors. They work in association with KMC blood bank. The blood donation camp was organised from February 08 to February 14. Utada Mane restaurant put posters with a message-'Eat What You Take, Take What You Eat' on their walls. The restaurant started this initiative six years ago.

Jamia student files case against Delhi Police, seek Rs 1 crore compensation

Passenger train derails in UP's Bijnor, investigation underway

Equities fall on coronavirus concerns

New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): Stock market on February 18 started on a lower note amid concerns of ongoing coronavirus. The SandP Sensex edged lower by 234 points or 0.57 per cent to 40,822 while the Nifty 50 tumbled by 81 points at 11,965. All sectoral indices at the NSE were in red with Nifty metal down by 1.6 percent. Nifty auto, pharma, realty and PSU bank slipped by 1.1 percent each.

I do not have any grudges against Shivraj, how can I have something against Scindia," CM said. Kamal Nath had dared Scindia to follow his threat of taking to streets over "unfulfilled" promises laid out in party manifesto by saying "let him do". Caught on cam: 30 kg gold looted in Punjab's Ludhiana

7 Maldivians, rescued from coronavirus-hit China, set to go back home after quarantine ends

New Delhi, Feb 18 (ANI): Seven Maldivian nationals evacuated from the coronavirus-hit Chinese city of Wuhan were discharged from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)-managed quarantine facility in Chhawla on February 17. Having tested negative for coronavirus, all seven Maldivians will be departing for their homeland on February 18. The seven Maldivians had arrived in India alongside 323 Indians on a special Air India flight which had been sent to China as part of an evacuation operation undertaken by the Indian government. A total of 640 Indians had been evacuated from China in two special operations. Immediately upon their arrival in the national capital, the Maldivians and the Indians were sent to quarantine facilities run by the Indian Army and ITBP, where they stayed for a period of more than two weeks. Coronavirus first originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan and has since then killed more than 1800 people in that country alone, while cases have been registered in several count
