New Delhi, Jan 23 (ANI): A team of researchers has extended their efforts to identify a predictive tool that helps to identify young people who are likely to experience high or low depressive disorder when they reach around the age of eighteen. Despite the prevalence of depression, little has been done to identify the causes, symptoms, solutions for the condition while predictive tools have already been developed for psychosis and many physical health conditions. Family history and subthreshold symptoms which do not reach the criteria for depression are the two current methods for accessing the risk of depression. For the study, researchers used data from over 2,000 Brazilian adolescents. With the help of this data, the team developed a tool that can help identify which young people will go on to experience a major depressive disorder when they reach 18 years. Not just identifying the tool, the study also evaluated the performance of the tool in samples of adolescents from New Zealand
Bengaluru, Jan 23 (ANI): While India gears up for 1st ever manned mission to space, half-humanoid 'Vyommitra' has been developed for initial mission. Futuristic half-humanoid is capable of performing several tasks and can communicate in two languages. ISRO hopes to send 'Vyommitra' before sending crew in 2022.
New Delhi, Jan 23 (ANI): WhatsApp is probably the most used app on your smartphone, and yet, it didn't provide any relief to your eyes during wee-hour chatting but now that is soon going to change with the introduction of a dedicated Dark Mode. The Facebook-owned app is getting the 'Dark Mode' that turns the interface into a dark theme to make it easy on the eyes. As WABetaInfo notes, the feature is currently available on the WhatsApp version 2.20.13 Android beta. The feature is listed under Settings > Chats. You can choose from; Light theme which is the default white theme, Dark theme, System default based on light or dark system-wide theme, and Set by Battery Saver. Dark Mode is expected to soon roll out to everyone.

Srinagar (JandK), Jan 22 (ANI): Union Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on January 22 reached Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar to review the development work in the region. During his visit, the Law and Justice Minister inaugurated many facilities including a woman post office. It is the first post office of its kind in all the Union Territories of the country. Sudan added that hospitals have been instructed regarding the virus. She also asserted that administration is also doing close monitoring at the airports. New Delhi, Jan 22 (ANI): A meeting was organised by disinvestment-bound Air India with travel agents to address issues and inform about positive impacts of privatization to travelers through agents. After the meeting, Air India Director (Commercial) Meenakshi Malik said that there is nothing to worry and Air India will change positively. "Air India will fly higher, better with this privatization. We met here so that we address the concerns of travel agents. There is nothing to worry, Air India will change positively," said Meenakshi Malik. Civil Aviation Minister had asked Air India to set up a committee of members from management to sort out privatization related issues.

He said, "At least 13 meetings have been conducted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, but Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was not invited to any of them. Mumbai, Jan 22 (ANI): Maharashtra cabinet minister Ashok Chavan said that 24x7 service for Mumbai's selected areas is in talks. He said, "Night life is not a proper word for what we've decided today. It's Mumbai 24x7 service for selected areas of the city. Date of its implementation is yet to be decided. We're looking for safe and secured places. We'll keep police arrangements in mind." Chavan also added that state tax for 'Tanhaji' has been waived off by the state government. He said, "We have decided to waive off our portion in GST (goods and services tax) as State GST comes in our purview. We have also requested the Chief Minister to write to the Centre to waive off Central GST on 'Tanhaji' movie."

New Delhi, Jan 22 (ANI): Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar held a press conference after attending the Union Cabinet Meeting. He said that the Cabinet has approved the revised cost estimates for establishment of permanent campuses of new National Institutes of Technology (NITs). The total cost is Rs 4371.90 crore for the period till 2021-2022.
