Maharashtra Cabinet expansion: Portfolios will be allocated before Monday, informs Nawab Malik

Mumbai, Jan 04 (ANI): Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Nawab Malik reacted over the delay in distribution of portfolios of Ministers in Maharashtra. "The reason for delay is not due to anything else but because we are considering creating new departments, so it's taking time. By Monday, portfolios will be allocated." Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress coalition government is in the state.

'Surat International Textile and Machinery Expo 2020' begins in Gujarat

Surat (Gujarat), Jan 04 (ANI): 'Surat International Textile and Machinery Expo 2020' kick started in Surat. SITME is considered to be one of the biggest expo in Surat for embroidery, digital printing, sewing and laser. The event is organised from Jan 03 to Jan 05. One of the major attractions of expo was eco-friendly straws and bags making machinery. On the other hand, expo also showcases digital printing machines which help in speedy printing on fabrics. Speaking about the expo, President of Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ketan Desai said, "Almost 35 different companies have put their stalls in SITME from all over the world, especially China, and Korea. Our Indian companied also participated in it. Both embroidery and digital machines are showcased in expo. Through this, we are promoting digital industry."

Nawab Malik urges Congress to withdraw controversial booklet

Mumbai, Jan 04 (ANI): Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and National Congress (NCP) leader reacted over the controversy on 'Savarkar and Godse's relationship' which was published in Congress Seva Dal booklet. He urged Congress to withdrawn the booklet. "Writing objectionable article is wrong, ideological differences fine but personal comments should not be made, especially when person (Savarkar) is not alive. Booklet should be withdrawn", said NCP leader Nawab Malik. In their recent booklet, the Congress Seva Dal mentioned that Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and Nathuram Godse had physical relations.

Only kids from families who pay electricity bill will sit in competitive exams: Haryana Minister

Sirsa (Haryana), Jan 04 (ANI): To combat the issue of unpaid electricity bills, Haryana Cabinet Minister Ranjit Singh Chautala said that kids of consumers who haven't paid electricity bills will not be able to sit in competitive exams. He said, "Government will bring a condition that only those children will sit for competitive exams who have no dues certificate for paying electricity bill." He further added, "He will motivate farmers to observe the habit of paying electricity bill. Government can give electricity on 'no loss-no profit', but at least pay some bill."

Protestors stage 'fasting satyagraha' against CAA, NRC in Bengaluru

Harbhajan Kaur sells delicious home-made 'besan ki barfi' and has launched her own brand - 'Harbhajan's'. Her daughter encouraged her to pursue her passion for preparing dishes. While speaking to ANI, her daughter told, "She expressed one day that she has not earned a single penny from her own and her words struck to my heart a lot. She is so talented and we never went to eat outside even a chocolate as she cooks really well. Our childhood memories are related to 'besan ki barfi' and that's why I encouraged her to make them and sell them as well." Harbhajan Kaur is, indeed an inspiration to all the procrastinators.

Transplant recipients can follow Mediterranean diet to preserve kidney health: Study

New Delhi, Jan 04 (ANI): A new study suggests that kidney transplant recipients who follow more of the Mediterranean diet were less likely to experience kidney loss. Adhering to a Mediterranean diet may help kidney transplant recipients to maintain the health of the transplant kidney function. The study was conducted by taking the accounts of 632 adult kidney transplant recipients with a functioning donor kidney for at least one year completed a food-related questionnaire, and adherence to the Mediterranean diet was assessed using a 9-point score.

Yaba tablets worth Rs 8.5 crore seized in Tripura's biggest-ever drug bust

2 dead after trainer aircraft crashes in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar

Man tries to burn petrol pump employee after denied fuel in bottle in Moradabad

Moradabad (UP), Jan 04 (ANI): A man tried to burn a petrol pump employee in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad where he was refused to take out the fuel in a bottle on January 03. The whole incident was captured in CCTV camera. The accused has been arrested by the police. Speaking on the matter, a police official said, "A man came to take petrol in a bottle at the petrol pump. After the employee of the pump denied to gave petrol in a bottle the man got angry and wanted to burn the petrol pump employee. The accused has been arrested."

Lance Naik Sandip Sawant's last rites performed at his hometown in Satara
