New Delhi, Jan 02 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar on January 2 rebuffed the reports and termed it 'speculative' of a deal between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan wherein an Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meet will be called to discuss the Kashmir issue. He said, "The reports are entirely speculative. We are not aware about any such meetings of OIC on India related matter."
New Delhi, Jan 02 (ANI): In the latest development in Delhi's Peeragarhi fire, a fireman, who was trapped, later succumbed to injuries at a hospital. Fire broke out at a factory in Delhi's Peeragarhi on Jan 02. During rescue operations, a blast occurred, after which factory building collapsed. Almost 35 fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

New Delhi, Jan 02 (ANI): Equities continued to rally on the second day of new calendar year with benchmark indices closing 0.8 per cent higher due to global gains and stellar performance domestically by infrastructure majors. The BSE S-P Sensex closed 321 points up at 41,627 while the Nifty 50 edged higher by 100 points at 12,283. All sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the green with Nifty metal shoring up by 2.68 per cent, bank by 1.04 per cent and realty by 0.92 per cent.
Tumakuru (Karnataka), 02 Jan (ANI): While addressing a public gathering in Karnataka's Tumakuru, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that now farmers are getting cent percent money from the Centre. "There was a time in the country, when one rupee was sent for the poor and farmers, but only 15 paisa used to reach them and rest 85 paise was consumed by middlemen. Today, all the money that is sent from Delhi is deposited in the farmers' account," said PM Modi.

New Delhi, Jan 02 (ANI): Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) gave New Year gift to its passengers in the form of free WiFi inside coaches. India is the fourth country to give free WiFi facility to its passengers in a metro train after Russia, Korea and China. After this development, it is the first Delhi Metro corridor to have WiFi on-board moving trains and passengers can expect similar services on other corridors in the future.

New Delhi, Jan 02 (ANI): Two-and-three wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto said on January 02, that it sold 3.36 lakh vehicles in December, down 3% in the year - ago period. In December 2018, it had sold 3.46 lakh units, it said in the statement. However, three-wheeler sales saw a rise of 8 percent year-on-year to 51,253 units versus 47, 344 units in December 2018. Of these, domestic sales saw 26% growth to 29,038 units from 23,099 units while exports skidded by 8% to 22,215 units from 24,245 units in the same period. Total motorcycle sales (domestic and exports) came in at 2,84,802 units in December 2019 as against 2,98,855 units in December 2018, a decline of 5%. Of these domestic sales witnessed decline of 21% while exports rose by 13%.
New Delhi, Jan 02(ANI): Jindal Steel and Power Ltd recorded the highest ever quarterly domestic production of crude steel and related products during the third quarter ending in December. JSPL recorded the growth of 30% in sales. Total crude steel and related production stood at 1.61 million tonnes compared to 1.32 million tonnes in the corresponding period last year. Export shipments increased to more than 3 lakh tonnes, marking an increase of 213% during Q3 FY20.

We are hoping good sunlight in next 3-4 days. Light drizzle may occur in some places on Jan 02. Till January 6, the sun will be sunny; people will get relief from the cold. Definitely, north-west India and Delhi-NCR will get relief from cold in coming days."

New Delhi, Jan 02 (ANI): A massive fire broke out at a factory in Delhi's Peeragarhi on Jan 02. During rescue operations a blast occurred, after which factory building collapsed and several people, including fire brigade personnel trapped in the building. Speaking on the incident, Additional DCP of Outer Delhi, Rajendra Sagar said, "14 people have been injured in the incident, including 13 fire brigade personnel. The back portion of the building has collapsed due to the blast and fire personnel and police trapped in it. It might be possible that one is still trapped and search operation is underway. Fire though is in control now. The cause of fire is unknown but rescue operation is underway."
