Mumbai, Feb 22 (ANI): The youth wing of Shiv Sena, Yuva Sena put up banners stating 'Yahi hai acche din?' at various petrol pumps and roadside in Bandra West in Mumbai. Yuva Sena workers were also seen raising slogans against PM Modi-led central govt. It came after the fuel prices are increasing sky high.

Dhemaji (Assam), Feb 21 (ANI): Amid protests, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted the reasons behind rising fuel prices, which included reduced fuel production and manufacturing in International market and COVID-19. On the international market, Pradhan said reduced production is making the consumer countries suffer. "We have continuously been urging the OPEC and OPEC plus countries that it should not happen. We hope there will be a change," he added. He further added that both Centre and State governments have to collect tax for various development works. "Spending on development work will generate more jobs. Government has increased its investment and 34% more capital spending will be done in this budget. State governments will also increase spending. This is why we need this tax but there is also the need for balance. I believe Finance Minister can find a way," said Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Highlighting that Haryana Government's is charging less Value Added Tax (VAT) from the people, he said that fuel prices have increased 10-15 per cent in 4-5 years which is "not that high overall." Agartala-Akhaura Border, Feb 20 (ANI): Beating retreat ceremony at the India-Bangladesh (Agartala-Akhaura) border resumed after 10 months on February 18. Amid the COVID-19 scare, only the Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers and their families were allowed to witness the ceremonial Beating Retreat ceremony at the Agartala-Akhaura border. An elaborate ritual of lowering of the national flags of both the countries was observed just before the sunset. Musical band was also performed by the Border Security Forces.

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): Yog Guru Ramdev on February 19 launched the "first evidence-based medicine for COVID-19 by Patanjali". During the event which saw presence of Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, the Yog Guru also released scientific research paper on 'the first evidence-based medicine for COVID-19 by Patanjali'. Last year in June, Patanjali had launched 'Coronil and Swasari', Ayurvedic cure for treating COVID-19. They claimed the medicine showed 100 per cent favourable results during clinical trials on affected patients. During the launch of the research paper which aims to back Patanjali's solution against COVID-19, Ramdev said many people had raised doubts when Coronil was launched last year and questioned whether Patanjali followed all scientific parameters before coming up with the medicines. "We have cleared all doubts today," Ramdev said at the event.
