Noida (UP), Sep 28 (ANI): Farmers from several villages took out a protest march against the Noida Authority. Hundreds of farmers protested against the anti-farmer policies of the authority. They are determined to go on an indefinite strike. Farmers have also complained of the Noida authority's move to demolish their constructions after declaring them illegal. Several farmer organisations of Noida and Greater Noida have come out in support of the protest march. "The farmers have taken out their protest march on several tractors which has caused a traffic jam. We have deployed our forces at the site of the demonstration," Vaibhav Krishna, Senior Superintendent of Police, Noida said.

"I am happy to see the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) chose the theme of 'Fire Safety' for this year's Formation Day. New Delhi, Sep 28 (ANI): Uber announced a slew of new features to its cab-hailing app to ensure a safer ride for customers. The updated app now lets you choose to receive a four-digit PIN to verify your ride. Uber also said that it is working on new technology for a PIN-free verification using ultrasound waves, the official blog noted. Users can now also report a problem to Uber during a ride, instead of waiting for the trip to be over. A new option also lets one send a text message to emergency numbers with the cab details and location in supported regions. Uber has also improved the real-time ID check for its drivers as an additional layer of security. Bike lane alerts will be added by the end of October to tell riders when they are being dropped off near a bike lane.

While speaking to ANI, Commanding Officer of INS Khanderi, Captain Dalbir Singh said, "It is the second submarine of Kalveri class. I am absolutely satisfied with the performance of this submarine." "Results of all the trials of this submarine were better than we expected. It is a force-multiplier for us," he added. The first of the class, INS Kalvari, was commissioned in December 2017.
