New Delhi, Sep 26 (ANI): Congress leader and son of former union minister P Chidambaram, Karti Chidambaram met his father at Tihar jail on September 26. While speaking to mediapersons, Karti said, "We've repeatedly said it's nothing but vendetta politics. Targeting leaders, who articulate, vehemently oppose this government and crucial to infrastructure of Congress, selectively with bogus cases. My father and DK Shivakumar are not undergoing any trial, they haven't been found guilty by any court. Only under pretext of investigation, they are being held in judicial custody. This is creating a very toxic and negative atmosphere for the polity of this country."
New York (USA), Sep 26 (ANI): Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi stole the show in New York with his dynamism and charisma. While speaking to ANI on PM Modi's visit, Goyal said, "I think, the dynamism and charisma that Prime Minister Modi executed through the visit starting from Houston, where the chemistry was electrifying, right up to his talk on climate change program and the various one-on-one and bilateral that he has been having. He clearly has stolen the show in New York." On terrorism talk, he said, "The meeting of PM Modi and Donald Trump was very warm and media will get the flavor of it and on the issue of terrorism, President Trump is extremely firm that we'll have to fight this menace of terrorism. Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Sep 26 (ANI): ISRO Chief K Sivan said on Thursday (September 26) that Chandrayaan-2 orbiter is doing very well. All payload operations have commenced, it's doing extremely well. We have got no signal from lander but orbiter is working very well. A national level committee is now analysing what really went wrong with the lander. "Maybe after the committee submits the report, we'll work on the future plan. Necessary approvals and other processes are required. We are working on that," K Sivan further added. New Delhi, Sep 26 (ANI): Congress again slammed BJP-led Centre over unemployment issue in the country. In a press conference Randeep Singh Surjewala clearly attacked the ruling party, by taking the reference of Centre for Monitoring of Indian Economy and International Labour Organisation data, by saying that India has double unemployment than the world. He also said that unemployment in men is six percent and in women its 17.5, "This is the reality of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao government's ground reality," said Surjewala.
Bengaluru, Sep 26 (ANI): Former chief minister of Karnataka, HD Kumaraswamy went all guns blazing towards Election Commission by terming it a 'puppet' of Centre. "In Indian political history it's the first time such a decision has been given by a constitutional authority, he further added. The Election Commission (EC) on Thursday (September 25) informed the Supreme Court it will defer the bypolls in 15 assembly seats in Karnataka as the hearing of the petitions challenging the disqualification of the rebel lawmakers remains pending in court. The bypolls were scheduled for October 21, with the results to be declared three days later.
New Delhi, 26 September, (ANI): Delhi Police launched the single emergency helpline number '112' for immediate assistance. This Emergency Response Support System was launched by Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy. New number replaced the earlier functioning three helpline numbers- 100, 101 and 102 for the sake of convenience. With the implementation of new Emergency Response Support System the police response time is reduced tremendously. In this new system, the call simultaneously passes to the Police Control Room as well as to at least five people nearby through a mobile app. The main call centre has been set up in Shalimar Bagh in Delhi, which is operating under the control of DCP. Speaking on the occasion, Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik said the project will expand the grievance redressal mechanism of police and other civic agencies. New Delhi, Sep 26 (ANI): While reacting on flood situation in Pune, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said government is working keenly on rescue operation, District administration and NDRF are looking after the incident. At least 12 people died due to the floods in Maharashtra's Pune. Heavy rains and flood has disrupted the normal life in Pune. Pune District Collector Naval Kishore Ram has declared holiday in all schools and colleges of Purandar, Baramati, Bhor and Haveli tehsil of the district. Almost 150 houses have been damaged due to heavy rainfall. IMD has forecasted severe thunderstorm in Mumbai and adjoining regions of Maharashtra.
Kupwara (JandK), Sep 26 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir government will set up three internet kiosks with professional staff in every District Commissioner's office in the Kashmir Valley, for the submission of pre and post Matric scholarship forms. Jammu and Kashmir is facing restrictions since Article 370 was revoked from the state on August 05. However, the government is saying that restrictions are being lifted in phased manner.

Buxar (Bihar), Sep 25 (ANI): While holding a 'Janta Darbar' in Bihar's Buxar on September 23, the Minister of State (MoS) for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Choubey threatened police personnel for registering a case against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker. While speaking to ANI on Ashwini Choubey threatening police personnel during 'Janta Darbar', SP of Buxar Upendra Nath Verma said, "The police personnel has filed a complaint against the Minister as per the media reports but no FIR has been registered against the minister and this is all baseless." Earlier, Ashwini Choubey said, "Some BJP workers and workers of other political parties, who protested against corruption and crime in 2003 were called 'gunda' by the present administration. I told the police personnel it is not right to call someone a 'gunda'."
Jammu, Sep 25 (ANI): Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that Jammu is as much in despair as Kashmir. He said, "Except few people in ruling party, no one is happy. Small scale businessmen, general store owners, people who have their businesses related to transport are so upset that everyone said they have only option left which is to commit suicide." New Delhi, Sep 25 (ANI): The members of Indian Youth Congress organised a symbolic protest in the national capital on September 25. They protested outside the residence of Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari over higher penalties and to get their voices heard. They also conveyed a message of 'Challan Kam Karo' through their protest. The amended Motor Vehicles Act came into effect from September 01. Now motorists have to face stricter punishment for violation of traffic regulations. According to the Act, driving without a seat belt, drunk driving, jumping traffic signals, speeding, driving without insurance and overloading vehicles will attract heftier fines. Driving under the influence of alcohol, not giving way to ambulances or fire brigade will attract a penalty of Rs 10,000 or imprisonment under the Act.

Mumbai, Sep 25 (ANI): State government has no role in the investigation of MSCB scam case said Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis. The ED has filed a money laundering case against NCP chief Sharad Pawar, his nephew Ajit Pawar and others in alleged connection with the MSCB scam case. An Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR), equivalent to a police FIR, has been registered by the central agency under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. The case is based on a Mumbai Police FIR which had named former chairmen of the bank, ex-deputy chief minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar and 70 former functionaries of the cooperative bank. The registration of the case comes ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly polls scheduled to be held on October 21.
New Delhi, Sep 25 (ANI): BJP state president Manoj Tiwari hit back on Delhi CM's remark over NRC (National Register of Citizens). "I would like to ask if he wants to say that a person who comes from Purvanchal is an illegal infiltrator, whom he wants to chase out of Delhi." He further added, "People who have migrated from other states are considered as foreigners by you (Delhi CM)? You want to chase them out from Delhi, you're one among them. If this is his intention then I think he has lost his mental stability. How does an IRS officer not know what NRC is?" Earlier, CM Kejriwal had said that Manoj Tiwari would be first one to leave Delhi if NRC is implemented.

Slamming US president for his comment, Owaisi said, "Donald Trump is an illiterate man. He is not very educated. Neither he knows anything about India, he is unaware about Mahatma Gandhi. If he had known then he would not have done this 'jumlebazi'. Mahatma Gandhi received the title of 'Father of the Nation' because he earned it."
Pilibhit (Uttar Pradesh), Sep 25 (ANI): A leopard was trapped in a tiger reserve of Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit district on September 24. Later, team of forest department rescued the wild cat from the spot. As per the information given by Divisional Forest Officer, the leopard will be returned in the jungle after the medical examination.
Mumbai, Sep 25 (ANI): Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar said on Wednesday that he will fully support the investigation agency in the Cooperative bank scam case. While addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Sharad Pawar said, "I will myself go to Enforcement Directorate on 27 September to give all information what I have with me about this case (a money laundering case)." The Enforcement Directorate has registered a money laundering case purportedly involving NCP chief Sharad Pawar, his nephew Ajit Pawar and about 70 former functionaries of the Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank (MSCB) to probe an alleged 25,000-crore scam.
Jammu, Sep 25 (ANI): The Indian Army conducted a search operation in Jammu's Trikuta Nagar area on September 25. The search operation was held over suspicion of hiding terrorists in the area. The rally was taken out under the theme-'Implement the Principles of Framework Agreement'. Protest comes amid series of talks between Centre and NSCN-IM. The protest was organised by NSF in collaboration with Naga Student Union Daily (NSUD). They began their protest from Mandi House. Security personnel have been deployed in large numbers to control the law and order situation. While speaking to ANI, one of the protestor said, "Our demand is that in the final solution of Nagas the principle of framework that has been signed between the Government of India and the Naga negotiators should be the guiding principle for the final solution of us." They conveyed a message of 'Respect The Naga National Rights' through protest.
