Shivraj Chouhan, Ravi Shankar helps needy during 'Seva Saptah' campaign

Bhopal (MP)/ Patna (Bihar), Sep 15 (ANI): Former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan on September 15 organised 'Seva Saptah' in Bhopal. He distributed clothes to the people and also fed grass to the cows. While speaking to mediapersons, he said, "We will celebrate PM Modi's birthday through 'Seva Saptah'. Working for the people is like praying for the God." Meanwhile, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad also organised 'Seva Saptah' in Patna on September 15. During the program, doctors checked health of the people. BJP's 'Seva Saptah' that commenced on September 14 will end on September 20. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday is on September 17. During this long-week, various health check-up plans - blood donation, eye check-up and operation camps - will also be organised by the party workers for the needy people all over the country.

Delhi's special team reaches Nainital to contain outbreak of dengue

Nainital (Uttarakhand), Sep 15 (ANI): To combat the outbreak of dengue in Nainital, Uttarakhand administration has called a special team from Delhi for carrying out fogging operation.The Delhi biological medicine team with the help of state dengue department officials carried out fogging at several places of the city to prevent dengue taking an epidemic form.Speaking to media, Vineet Rawat, the trainer from Delhi said, "All the medicines which we are spraying are all eco-friendly and non-toxic. The state has also purchased 10 machines which will sprinkle biomedicine in the areas. We are also training the technical staff of the Malaria Department for spraying medicines by using these machines." Around 1,343 dengue cases have been reported from Uttarakhand till now.

CM Raghubar Das participates in plantation drive in Ranchi

Ranchi (Jharkhand), Sep 15 (ANI): In a bid to create awareness about clean environment, government of Jharkhand began tree plantation drive in Ranchi on September 15. Chief Minister Raghubar Das kick started plantation drive and planted tree saplings. During a plantation drive total 400 tree saplings were planted in a day. Students, teachers stuck at school in Chittorgarh after water discharged from dam

Parts of Delhi receives light showers

New Delhi, Sep 15 (ANI): Delhi and its adjoining areas such as Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida and Ghaziabad on Sunday received light rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places, in the morning. According to Skymet, Delhi-NCR witnessed rain showers due to the low-pressure area persisting in the central parts of the country. At present, the weather system is over north Madhya Pradesh and its adjoining southwest Uttar Pradesh. According to the weather forecasting agency, Delhi-NCR will receive moderate rainfall on Monday (Sept 16) and Tuesday (Sept 17) due to certain weather activities. It should be noted that due to the rain the quality of air in Delhi has improved to 'satisfactory' level with Air Quality Index docking at 56.

5 arrested with possession of 300 grams brown sugar in Patna

Patna (Bihar), Sep 15 (ANI): Patna Police arrested five people and seized around 300 grams of brown sugar from their possession on September 14. While speaking to media, Superintendent of Police (SP) East Patna, Jitendra Kumar said, "Accused identified as-Kariman, Sonu, Ganesh and Santosh were arrested after we found drug from their possession. During the investigation, we also got to know about the involvement of another person, Mithilesh Kumar who was also arrested." "One of the arrested accused, Kariman is wanted in many police stations." he added. He also stated that 100 sachets of brown sugar were recovered from Mithilesh Kumar who was arrested from Postal Park area. A weighing machine, a tape machine, a motorcycle and mobile phones were also recovered from the arrested drug peddlers. The police are investigating the case to know more about the accused and their source of the drug.

Karnataka environmentalist preserves 500 endangered species of herbal plants at home

Shivamogga (Karnataka), Sep 15 (ANI): B Venkatagiri, an environmentalist from Karnataka's Shivamogga has preserved endangered species of over 500 herbal plants at his house and collected over 1500 varieties of seeds, considered extinct. Venkatgiri now wants to transfer his knowledge to the younger generation. "I travelled across Karnataka and collected these breeds. I have created religious method of growing herbal plants like Navagrahavana, Nandanavana, Nakshatravana, Pavitra vana, Ashwini vana with special plants mentioned in our sacred texts," he told ANI.

73 per cent stories on LGBTQ websites flagged as 'unsafe' by scared brands: Survey

New Delhi, Sep 15 (ANI): Brands don't want their ads to appear next to controversial content on a given website. However, a new survey revealed how brands end up labeling stories on LGBTQ websites 'unsafe' for ad placement. Brand safety company CHEQ, researched keyword blocking across 15 major sites including CNN, the New York Times, the Guardian, and the Wall Street Journal and discovered that 57 per cent of neutral or positive stories were being incorrectly flagged an unsafe for brands, Fast Company reports. It is also discovered that 73 per cent of safe stories on LGBTQ websites such as PinkNews and the Advocate are also flagged as brand unsafe, impacting content monetizing. Researchers attribute to it to the inability of ad networks to distinguish between positive LGBTQ content and potentially negative content such as pornography or hate speech.
