New Delhi, February 3 (ANI): In a programme organized at in outer district of Delhi, Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava met policemen, who sustained injuries during the tractor rally violence on Republic Day. Special commissioner of Police, Western Range, Sanjay Singh was also present at the programme. As many as 144 police personnel of Western range got injured during the clash. Addressing the Police personnel, Special Commissioner Sanjay Singh said, "the tough conditions in which they are performing their duty amidst the farmers protest is commendable."

Bengaluru, Feb 03 (ANI): Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has handed over the contract of 83 Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas fighters to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The Ministry of Defence handed over Tejas fighters to HAL at Aero India show in Bengaluru. Three Mi-17 helicopters took part in the flypast at the inauguration of the Aero India Show-2021 today. The event will be held till February 05.

The decision comes days after British Prime Minister Boris Johnson cancelled his visit to India to grace the Republic Day celebrations in view of the spread of a new variant of the coronavirus in the United Kingdom. Farmers protesting at Delhi borders said they will burn copies of Centre's new agriculture laws at all demonstration sites on the festival of Lohri on Wednesday, as a mark of protest against the legislations. This comes a day after the protesting farmer unions asserted they will not appear before the Supreme Court-appointed panel, alleging it was "pro-government", and said they won't settle for anything less than the repeal of the three contentious laws. The government and farm unions reached some common ground on Wednesday to resolve protesting farmers' concerns over rise in power tariff and penalties for stubble burning, but the two sides remained deadlocked over the main contentious issues of the repeal of three farm laws and a legal guarantee for MSP. After nearly five hours of the sixth round of negotiations between three union ministers and a 41-member representative group of thousands of farmers protesting on Delhi borders, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said at least 50 per cent resolution has been reached with mutual agreement on two out of four items on the agenda and discussions would continue on the remaining two on January 4 at 2 PM.
New Delhi, Dec 24 (ANI): Social media giant Facebook said it will start allowing users to prepare physical safety keys as a way to confirm their identity before logging into the social network's mobile app, beginning next year. According to Mashable, the Mark Zuckerberg-owned company is now offering a choice to use a hardware security key to connect to one's desktop computer prior to each log-in. The users could purchase a hardware key through retailers, and register with Facebook, the social media giant said, confirming an earlier report by Axios. The world's biggest social network said it also intends to enlarge 'Facebook Protect', that is, its own security program for high-profile accounts for example election applicants, to more kinds of accounts globally next year. Presently available in the US, Facebook Protect offers a means for politicians, government agencies, and election personnel to set up additional safety provisions such as two-factor authentication and real-time tracking

Farm laws have not been introduced overnight, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday while adding that over the last 20 to 30 years, Centre and State Governments had detailed discussions on these reforms.
