South Africa, Oct 26 (ANI): A British man flew over Johannesburg using a chair attached to 100 helium balloons. Tom Morgan, part of a group called The Adventurists, flew some 24 kilometres for two hours reaching a maximum altitude of 8,300 feet. After this attempt, the adventure company plans to organise a helium balloon race in Africa.
New Delhi, Oct 26 (ANI): Tigers were rescued from a neglected zoo near Syrian of Aleppo to a big cat facility in Netherlands, giving them new beginnings. The rescue efforts led by an international animal welfare organisation, Four Paws, relocated the tigers, named Sultan and Sayeeda, to Felida Big Cat Centre in the town of Nijeberkoop, a facility under Four Paws. The tigers will be monitored to help them overcome their traumatic experience, according to the Four Paws.
Washington D.C. (U.S.), Oct 26 (ANI): Researchers have recently found that proton beam therapy is a type of particle therapy that uses a beam of protons to irradiate a diseased tissue and in combination with chemotherapy may be effective for treating esophageal cancer in elderly patients. According to study, proton beam therapy can help improve outcomes in patients aged 65 years and above, to undergo aggressive treatment for their esophageal cancer. Standard X-ray radiation therapy techniques include 3-D conformal radiation and intensity-modulated radiation therapy. Researcher Scott Lester at Mayo Clinic said that elderly patients experience more post-treatment heart and lung problems and are at higher risk for death after surgery than younger patients after receiving a combination of pre-operative chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

London, Oct 25 (ANI): Harry Potter is still working as a magic for Bloomsbury publishers. After 20 years of his debut, special editions of the boy wizard's first adventure are boosting the firm's revenue by 15 percent. Bloomsbury released these editions of J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone" in June. The covers were dedicated to the four houses at Hogwarts' wizarding school. More illustrated editions will feature in Bloomsbury's assault on the Christmas market, including two books to accompany a Harry Potter exhibition at the British Library in London. Bloomsbury's glittering performance reflects strong improvements in the British book market.

Birgunj (Nepal), Oct 24 (ANI): Eleven years after Nepal discarded and subsequently abolished monarchy, former Nepal King Gyanendra Shah, on Saturday said he was ready to run the country again, if the public demands. In this regard, the Rajwadi leaders and workers group under the chairmanship of Janak Shah held a rally. Shah, demanding king's rule in the country, aims to achieve better living conditions for the people of Nepal. Pakistan occupied Kashmir, October 24: On October 22 in 1947 the Pakistan Army disguised as tribal raiders invaded the undivided State of Jammu and Kashmir. Anti-Pakistan protests were held across Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan to mark "Black Day". Protests were reported from Bagh, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Kotli, Gilgit and Hajirah and other places. The events were organized by United Kashmir People's National Party, Kashmir National Party and Jammu Kashmir National Independence Alliance.
New York (United States), Oct 24 (ANI): Guinness Record king Ashrita Furman is very happy with the results of two Halloween-themed record-breaking attempts of smashing 31 pumpkins and catching more than 40 pieces of caramel corn in his mouth in a minute. Furman, from the New York borough of Queens, literally "smashed" the first record, almost doubling the number of pumpkins obliterated in one minute using a hammer. Furman said he was happy with the results and said he got better as the attempt unfolded. Not wanting to waste the pumpkins, Furman said the scraps would be collected later and turned in pumpkin pies by a local chef.
Paris (France), Oct 24 (ANI): French President Emmanuel Macron's dog Nemo was filmed urinating on a fireplace at the Elysee Palace during a meeting with three junior ministers last week. Macron and his ministers laughed off the incident, which took place in the President's office. Nemo, a cross between a black labrador and a griffon, was adopted by Macron and his wife from a French animal welfare organisation. He is said to be about one or two years old.

London, Oct 23 (ANI): Marking the 70th anniversary of the tribal invasion attack of Jammu and Kashmir, a massive protest was held outside the Pakistan High Commission by Kashmiri activists in London. On October 22, 1947, Pakistan army, disguised as tribal raiders, invaded the undivided state of Jammu and Kashmir. Marked as 'Black day', the protest was organised by Jammu Kashmir National Independence Alliance, an umbrella grouping of Kashmiri Political Parties and Civil society organisations, based in U.K. The protesters chanted anti-Pakistan slogans and demanded an end to forceful occupation of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Gilgit-Baltistan. Dhaka (Bangladesh), Oct 23 (ANI): Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, on Monday, inaugurated the new chancery complex of the Indian High Commission in Dhaka. Addressing the gathering, Swaraj said that Bangladesh comes first in India's neighbour first policy. She said there are some issues left unresolved between the two countries and the two nations will resolve them with honesty. Sushma Swaraj arrived in Dhaka on October 22 on a two-day visit to attend a joint consultative committee meeting to review the bilateral ties between India and Bangladesh. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama held a concert at Texas A and M University benefiting hurricane relief efforts in College Station, Texas. In a rare show of unity, U.S. President Donald Trump praised all five of his living predecessors thanking them in a video for their work in helping to raise funds for aid victims of recent hurricanes. His video statement was shown at Saturday's fund-raising concert. Brazil, Oct 23 (ANI): A group of 245 thrill-seekers, tied to ropes, jumped from a 30-metre tall bridge in a world-record attempt for "rope jumping". The death-defying event took place in Brazil's Hortolandia. In the video, the participants were seen leaping from the bridge, each wearing white helmets, while tied together with a rope. The jumpers fell almost simultaneously and swung back and forth until coming to standstill before with some descending to the water below and other climbing up to the bridge.
