(United States), Sep 23 (ANI): The United States first lady Melania Trump held her first event in the vegetable garden of the White House, which was established by her predecessor Michelle Obama. Melania was seen wearing a red plaid shirt and matched it with red gloves. She was joined by members of the local Boys and Girls Club, reported the Washington Post. She explained the importance of healthy eating to the children and stressed the importance of eating lots of vegetables and fruits. The first lady was seen harvesting red peppers, okra and green peppers with the children. The children also planted cabbage, cauliflower, turnips, carrots, spinach and lettuce.
Geneva, Sep 23 (ANI): During a side-event at the ongoing 36th session of Human Rights Council in Geneva, Human Rights activists joined at a stage to highlight the deteriorating human rights situation as a result of CPEC in Balochistan. The speakers raised the issue of violation of civil and political rights, enforced disappearances, custodial torture and extrajudicial killings of political activists and civilians in Balochistan. Some of the speakers included Founder of Peter Tatchell Foundation Peter Tatchell, President of Pragmora Dr. Glenys Babcock and Baloch Republican Party activist Abdul Nawaz Bugti.
New York (USA), Sep 22 (ANI): Pakistan on Friday said that the Kashmiri people should be allowed to hold free, fair and impartial plebiscite under the UN's auspices. Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations, Tipu Usman said the plight of Kashmiri people at the hands of the Indian security forces is being documented by the international community and rights organisations. He said that the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval's offensive defense and double squeeze strategy to make India a regional hegemony will never succeed. He said that India is responsible for undermining regional peace and stability. The Pakistani diplomat alleged that due to unprovoked firing and mortar shelling by Indian forces on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir leads to casualties on the Pakistan side.

New York (U.S.A), Sep 22 (ANI): Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday raised the issue of the ongoing Rohingya refugee crisis in the United Nations and urged the international community to take immediate and effective measures to find out a permanent solution to the issue. Hasina asserted that the Rohingya Muslims, which flew away from Myanmar fearing death, must be able to return to their homeland with respect and dignity. New York, Sep 22 (ANI): While addressing the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi insisted that Pakistan 'is not prepared to be anyone's scapegoat'. Abbasi said that Pakistan has been consistently active in the war against terrorism and added that its counter-terrorism credentials cannot be questioned. He stated that Pakistan has lost 2,700 lives and sustained 50,000 injuries in countering terrorism.

Neelam Valley (PoK), Sep 21 (ANI): In yet another incident of Pakistan's inhumane behaviour in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), 4 youth were illegally detained and brutally thrashed by the Pakistani security officials. The unemployed youth were seeking job at one of the worksite when Pakistani security personals illegally detained and brutally tortured them at the behest of a Pakistani contractor.This is not the first incident which highlights the inhumane behaviour of Pakistani forces. Geneva, Sep 21 (ANI): A group of activists from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), Sindh and Pakhtunistan immensely criticised Pakistan for its anti-people policies. Debating on the 'Freedom of Expression' on the sidelines of 36th session of Human Rights Council in Geneva, the activists and other attendees blamed Pakistan for crushing voices of dissent and harbouring terrorists. The persecution of religious minorities, including Christians and Hindus, in Pakistan, was also highlighted during the conference.
