Kathmandu (Nepal), Aug 28 (ANI): Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba emphasised on maintaining harmonious relations with its southern neighbour, India, for the betterment of the nation. Prime Minister Deuba also discussed the engagements and agreements sealed during his visit to New Delhi. The two neighbours who share an open border and commonality are different with the Northern neighbor who in recent days is in an attempt to increase its clout over Nepal. Foreign Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara, in a press briefing, asserted that that Nepal stands in between two countries over border dispute which was claimed to be a setback for New Delhi. Apart from this, the Nepali Congress President as well as Deuba raised the issue of the Terai inundation caused by the dams constructed over by India as well as other issues of national interest during his brief meeting with Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
Hong Kong / Macau (China), Aug 27 (ANI): A second tropical storm in days has swept into southern China, bringing heavy rain and strong wind in Hong Kong and Macau in China. Both the regions reel from the strongest typhoon in decades that led scores of people dead. As Macau still grapples with the aftermath of deadly Typhoon Hato, Pakhar brought more punishing winds and heavy rain. Hong Kong's weather observatory says winds reached hurricane force just west of the city near the airport. At least 300 flights has been cancelled or delayed, which is expected to affect travelers on Monday.
Texas, Aug 27 (ANI): A woman was killed on Saturday after she came into the area of Harvey, the most powerful storm to hit Texas in more than 50 years. The storm roared inland, knocked out power to affect more than 230,000 people. Reportedly, the woman was driving through flooded streets on Houston's west side. In the captured video, Harvey's wrath can be seen as it ripped off roofs, snapped trees, and triggered tornadoes.
Berlin (Germany), Aug 27 (ANI): The Baloch Republican Students Organisation (BRSO) and the Baloch Republican Party (BRP) held a protest in Germany's Berlin in a bid to highlight the war crime perpetrated by Pakistan in Balochistan. The protest demonstration was more of an awareness campaign, also held in the capital city of Brandenburg. Apart from highlighting the war crimes committed by the Pakistani, the campaign was also aimed at paying tribute to father of nation Shaheed Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti on his 11th Martyrdom Anniversary. On the occasion, several events were held in Balochistan and across the world.

Bangladesh, Aug 27 (ANI): Myanmar's northwestern Rakhine state is enraged by the noise of gunfire from neighbouring Bangladesh as fresh fight erupts in the area. Thousands of Rohingya Muslims flee across the border near Cox's Bazar after the shots rang out on Saturday. Many also tried to hide in bushes as panic was created. As many as 100 persons have been killed in the widespread attacks by Rohingya insurgents following which Myanmar's government evacuated hundreds of villagers. Several women and children had to spend the night in a marshy area as they waited to cross over. Aid workers believe more aggressive army response might be triggered by the latest attack.
Rawalkot, Aug 27 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir National Awami Party (JKNAP) and NSF held massive protests against Pakistan in Gilgit, Baltistan and Rawalkot. The protestors were chanting slogans and held banners while protesting against Pakistan and human rights violations.
Birgunj (Nepal), Aug 26 (ANI): The Madheshi Jan Adhikari Forum held series of protests in Birgunj district of Nepal and threatened to boycott the final phase of the local polls which are scheduled for next month. The party held a series of protests in many parts using black flags. The agitating Madhesi community has been demanding an amendment to the Constitution of Nepal for Madheshi recognition.

(U.S.A), Aug 26 (ANI): Treasury Secretary of United States of America, Steven Mnuchin said that US Congress will raise the government's debt ceiling in September, ahead of talks with congressional leaders. Mnuchin said that his strong preference is that they have a clean debt ceiling but the most important issue is the debt ceiling that will be raised in September. He said that he had discussions with the leaders in both parties in the House and Senate and all of them are on the same page.

Finland, Aug 26 (ANI): American Matt "The Airistotle" Burns on Friday defended his title at the 22nd Air Guitar World Championships in northern Finland. Fifteen air guitarists from around the world - including USA, Germany, Australia, Japan, Canada, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Taiwan and Sweden - competed in the final in freezing cold weather. In the end Burns won, with Patrick "Ehrwolf" Culek from Germany and Australia's Alexander "The Ninja Assassin" Roberts, tied in second place, followed by Japan's 15-year-old Show-Show in third place. Hyderabad (Pakistan), Aug 25 (ANI): Punhal Sario, a 58-year-old human rights activist from Sindh, is feared missing. The head of the Voice for Missing Persons of Sindh, recently marched from the Pakistani cities of Hyderabad to Karachi to demand the return of fellow activists who had gone "missing". The activist was allegedly abducted from Hyderabad by security forces on August 3. The police is denying to register a missing complaint, but Punhal's daughter and other human rights activists are running a campaign for his safe return. These recent alleged rights violations come just weeks after a review of Pakistan by the United Nations Human Rights Committee, which recommended that Pakistan end the practice of enforced disappearances and secret detentions.People who are disappeared are held without legal protection, making them much more vulnerable to torture and other abuses.The nongovernmental Human Rights Commission of Pakistan reported that 728 people forcibly disappeared in Pakistan
Seoul (South Korea), Aug 25 (ANI): A South Korean court has found Lee Jae-yong, the de facto chief of the sprawling Samsung business empire, guilty of bribery and other corruption charges. The court also found Lee guilty of hiding assets abroad, embezzlement and perjury. Prosecutors say Lee gave bribes of nearly 40 million dollars for political favors. Lawyers have confirmed that they will appeal the ruling, but the court is not expected to grant bail. The widely held opinion is that the outcome of Lee's verdict would be an indication of what will happen to former leader Park Geun-hye, who faces more than 10 years in a prison cell.

Charleston (South Carolina), Aug 25 (ANI): A disgruntled employee, who fatally shot one person and held another hostage on Thursday at a restaurant in South Carolina's Charleston, was shot by the police, said Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg. Witnesses said the gunman waved a pistol and said "There's a new boss in town" as he entered Virginia's On King in the heart of the city's commercial district, while about 15 to 20 people were having lunch.
