Virginia white supremacist rally: Over 2 dead after car plows into crowd

Virginia (United States), Aug 13 (ANI): At least two people died after a car plowed into a crowd at a white nationalist rally in Virginia. At least one vehicle hit a crowd of people gathered in a Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday, hours after a clash broke between white nationalists and counter-protestors. Multiple ambulances were on the scene soon after the incident. An investigation is underway to probe the incident. Further details are awaited in connection to the matter.

Floods, landslides ravage Nepal: 18 dead, over 50 missing

Kathmandu (Nepal), Aug 12 (ANI): Rains and landslides continued to wreak havoc across Nepal, leaving 18 dead and over 50 missing in last 24 hours. In Banke district, four people have also lost their lives after the rain water entered into the residential areas. The government has requested the people residing in the low lying southern plains of Nepal as well as residents near the river to shift to higher grounds, claiming the condition might last for some more days.

Nepal Government to bring up amendment bill for voting next week

Kathmandu (Nepal), Aug 12 (ANI): After a long deliberation, the Nepal government has advanced with the amendment bill in a move to bring the agitating Madhesi Parties on board to take part in the third phase of local-levels polls. Leaders of the Rashtriya Janata Party (RJP-N), a key Madhesi party met Prime Minister Sher Bahadue Deuba, Maoist Chief Prachanda and reached an understanding of voting over the slated amendment bill next week. The Madhesi leaders have also accepted the amendment bill as a game and have agreed to accept the result of the voting over the amendment bill. Apart from the commitment in advancing with the amendment bill in the Parliament, the Government has also agreed to grant Martyrdom status to the deceased ones who have spared their lives during Madhesh movement.

Amazon all set to revolutionise food industry with ready-to-eat meals

New Delhi, Aug 12 (ANI): American electronic commerce and cloud computing company, Amazon is exploring new technologies to bring ready-to-eat food which are healthier. The read-to-eat meal is more nutritious than processed foods and can be stable on a shelf for a year. The online shopping giant is planning to sell food prepared with microwave assisted thermal sterilization technology (MATS). In this technology, the food is placed in hot, pressurized water and cooked with microwaves for a few minutes. It was at the Paris Food Trade Show last year that Amazon stumbled upon the idea. The company started working on commercialising the technology with 915 labs in Denver. While the food is still awaiting Food and Drug Administration's approval, MATS dishes will not be available until 2018.

Start-up Milk and Honey produces first Israeli-made single malt whiskey

Tel Aviv (Israel), Aug 12 (ANI): Start-up Milk and Honey, a distillery in Israel's Tel Aviv is auctioning off what it claims is the first Israeli-made single malt whiskey. Israeli wine has dominated the regional market for decades and recently microbreweries have enjoyed a success in the market. The distillery is producing their spirit in a small building in the heart of Tel Aviv and now they are hoping to capitalise on a global level among the whiskey aficionados. The distillery is selling the first 291 bottles of its "experimental series" locally and is offering 100 in an online auction to gauge how rapid international buyers are when it comes to exotic spirits.

The ball was scented with the pride's favourite aromatic herbs and spices with which they played in both water and on land. The metre-wide ball is made specifically for big, strong animals to play with and this version was designed to replicate the globe. World Lion Day is an independent campaign to highlight the importance of lions globally and raise awareness about the conservation of lions worldwide.

Japan gives exposure to foreign students and artists

Tokyo (Japan), August 10 (ANI): Kazuo Inamori, founder of Japan's global business Kyocera believes that exposure to different cultures is important to the growth of a child from his own personal experience overseas when he was younger. Since 1978, Kyocera has sponsored cultural exchange tours for children from other countries to visit and exchange cultural activities in Japan. As part of the company's social contribution, it has invited Vietnamese children on tours of Japan for the second time this year. The students also visited the Kyocera Museum of Fine Ceramics, which exhibits the development process of ceramic technology since its inception. Focusing on Asia, artists from each country around the world participate in the Yokohama Triennale. A wide range of exhibits with an international flavor, such as art works made from life jackets and lifeboats used by refugees on the island of Greece is on exhibit. The open port city of Yokohama is further enhanced by art.

FBI raids President Trump's former campaign manager's home in Russia probe

New Delhi, August 10 (ANI): The FBI seized documents and other material from President Donald Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort's Virginia residence. The documents were being seized during a raid as a part of a special counsel's probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Manafort appears to be in the limelight of the federal investigation into alleged Russian interference in the presidential election, and any ties between Russia and the Trump campaign. Manafort left the Trump campaign before the election, after reports emerged that he had worked for Russian-backed politicians in Ukraine. However, Russia has denied the allegations, while Trump has called the multiple investigations into his campaign a 'witch hunt.'
