Dushanbe, July 13 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday unveiled the bust of Rabindranath Tagore in Dushanbe and said that the words of the Nobel laureate would continue to inspire the world. Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon also praised the eminent poet saying Tagore always called on nations to spiritual and cultural cooperation. He added that the prolific poet was loved and welcomed by all the nations.

Dushanbe, July 13 (ANI): India and Tajikistan on Monday (July 13) signed agreements on culture and human resource development during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Dushanbe. While a Programme of Cooperation between Ministries of Culture of India and Tajikistan entails exchange of information, organisation of events and expertise in protection and preservation of cultural heritage, the agreement related to human resource development will see India setting up 37 computer labs in Tajik schools. Modi and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon presided over the signing of the agreements, after a round of delegation level talks, as officials from both sides exchanged documents. Modi also said both the nations were in talks to expand connectivity between them. The Prime Minister will also unveil bust of Noble laureate and Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore and gift medicines to the India-Tajikistan Friendship Hospital during his visit.

Bishkek, July 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday gifted medical equipment to Kyrgyzstan's Field Hospital in Bishkek. Modi took a tour of the hospital before presenting the gift equipment. Prime Minister Modi earlier met the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev. A delegation level meeting was held and a wide range of issues were discussed between the leaders of both countries. Both the leaders also witnessed signing of various agreements. India and Kyrgyzstan signed agreements in four key areas, including defence cooperation and cultural preservation. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the field of elections, to enhance cooperation in matters related to legislation on elections and referendums. Additionally, the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) also signed a MoU in the sphere of standards. The two sides also pledged to cooperate to preserve cultural heritage.

PM Modi arrived in Kyrgystan's capital Bishkek from Turkmenistan. He was received by a delegation of leaders at the airport. Modi was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the VVIP Lounge of Manas International Airport and a guard of honour during which the national anthems of India and Kyrgystan were played. Prime Minister Modi ends his Central Asia tour with a visit to Tajikistan before flying back home on July 13.
Ashgabat, July 11 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday departed from the Ashgabat International Airport after successfully completing his stay in Turkmenistan. Modi had arrived here in Ashgabat yesterday on the fourth leg of his Central Asian tour. He was accorded a ceremonial welcome by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the Oguzkhan Palace in Ashgabat. The Prime Minister was greeted by the delegates present at the airport before he waved goodbye and entered the Air India flight.
