Kathmandu (Nepal), Nov 19 (ANI): Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha echoed with the verses of Tripitaka, the traditional Buddhists scriptures, as about one thousand Buddhist pilgrims from 25 countries including India, Thailand, Myanmar, and Nepal chanted the Tripitaka for three days to mark the 2nd episode of Tripitaka chanting ceremony. The first session of chanting ceremony was held in 2018 in which about 700 monks and nuns participated from 18 countries. The Tripitaka, which holds high significance in Buddhism is an elite text and is lesser- known among people. The organizers claim that such events would help in making people aware of the scriptures as well as give them spiritual stimulation and motivate them to live with peace and tranquillity. He is expected to have another as he is reported to have encountered health issues that are growing serious. The Grande International Hospital in Nepal where the prime minister underwent his third dialysis issued a joint release by Prime Minister Private Doctor and Medical Director of the Hospital. PM Oli had undergone a kidney transplant at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, India. In the following years, he has been going on regular check-ups either to Delhi or Singapore. Kathmandu (Nepal), Nov 12 (ANI): Chinese President Xi Jinping's effigy was burnt on Monday during a protest against Bejing for encroaching upon a chunk of Nepal's land. The protesters hit the streets of Saptari, Bardiya, Kapilvastu district on Monday and raised slogans against China. The protesters held placards, banners and shouted slogans such as "Go back China and Return Nepali land" during the protests. The protest comes after a survey report released recently by the Survey Department stated that China has encroached upon 36 hectare land of Nepal. The data revealed that around six hectares of land in the Bhagdare river in Humla district and four hectares of land in Karnali district have been encroached upon, which now falls in Tibet's Furang area. China has also encroached more than 10 hectares of land in Sindhupalchowk district's Bhotekoshi and Kharanekhola areas, which are now under Nyalam area of Tibet.
