Octogenarian killed in elephant attack in TN

A 82-year-old man was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Poluvampatti forest on the outskirts of the city today, police said.

Ramasamy of Nalloor village was near the banks of Noyyal river when the attack took place, they added.

Passers-by saw him lying with injuries and took him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, the police said, adding that the body was sent for a postmortem.
