Two school students drown in Meenachil river

Two students from a school here drowned in the Meenachil river near Poonjar in the district today, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Muhammed Riaz and Christopher Abraham (both 17 years), studying at the Baker Vidyapeetham, they said.

The bodies have been recovered.

The two along with other friends had gone to Poonjar on a holiday trip.
