Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.
Godrej Industries has presence in chemicals, estate management (real estate), finance & investments.
On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.

Realty firm NB Group will invest Rs 350 crore to develop a luxury housing project in Ahmedabad as part of its expansion plan.
The company has launched a residential project, 'NB Palm', comprising 136 apartments. The size of the land parcel is 6,300 square yards.
Nishith Shah, CMD of NB Group, said the total investment to develop this project is estimated at Rs 350 crore.
The company will meet the cost largely from internal accruals.
The company has launched this project at Rs 6,500 per sq ft. The price of an apartment starts from Rs 2.5 crore.

GST authorities have issued a demand notice of Rs  6.37 crore to Britannia Industries, and the company is exploring legal remedies.
The bakery food company received the order from the Office of the Commissioner of CGST & Central Excise, Thane on Monday, according to a regulatory filing from the company.
The order has been passed under Section 74 of the GST Act for FY 2020-21 to FY 2023-24, alleging non-payment of tax due to "incorrect classification" of goods supplied.
"The tax and penalty quantified in the order amount to Rs 2,12,40,000 and Rs 4,24,80,000 respectively, totalling to a demand of Rs 6,37,20,000 in addition to the applicable interest," Britannia said.
However, this will have " no material impact on the financials, operations or other activities" of the company, said Britannia, which owns popular brands such as  Good Day, Tiger, NutriChoice and MarieGold.
