State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd has signed an initial pact with HUDCO to develop projects worth Rs 117 crore. In a statement on Monday, NBCC said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO) to "execute transformative development projects in Panchkula, Kaushambi, Ahmedabad and New Delhi." The MoU was signed by Sanjay Kulshrestha, Chairman and Managing Director of HUDCO, and K P Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director of NBCC. Under this agreement, NBCC will develop a commercial complex at Kaushambi in Ghaziabad, an integrated redevelopment of HUDCO's land parcel at Panchkula, in Haryana and construction of new blocks at HUDCO's Regional Office in Ahmedabad. It would also include the reconstruction of residential flats at the Asian Games Village Complex in the national capital. State-owned NBCC Ltd has secured a contract to develop and market a 95-acre mixed-use project in Rajasthan with an estimated investment of around Rs 3,700 crore. In a regulatory filing on Monday, the company informed that it has been "selected as the lead agency to design, build, and market the Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre, Global Capability Centre (GCC) Tower, IT Tower, luxury hotels, and new commercial and residential infrastructure on 95 acres of Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation (RIICO) land". The land is located along the B2 Bypass, Tonk Road. The Rajasthan government has approved this project, with an overall estimated investment of about Rs 3,700 crore, it added. Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre, having a total capacity of 7,500 seats, is proposed to be developed on about 25 acres of land. NBCC Ltd is into project management consultancy and real estate businesses.
State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd has reported a 26 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 135.03 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal on higher income. Its net profit stood at Rs 107.19 crore in the year-ago period. The total income grew to Rs 2,465.48 crore during the April-June period of 2025-26 fiscal from Rs 2,196.20 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding year, according to a recent regulatory filing. NBCC Ltd is into project management consultancy (PMC) and real estate businesses. During 2024-25, NBCC Ltd posted a net profit of Rs 557.42 crore and a total income of Rs 12,272.99 crore.
The Supreme Court on Friday stayed an order appointing state-owned NBCC as the project management consultant to complete debt-ridden realty firm Supertech Ltd's 16 housing projects at nearly Rs 9,500 crore cost. A bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justices Sanjay Kumar and K V Viswanathan heard two appeals against the NCLAT order and expressed concern for home buyers. The bench issued notices to the parties on the appeals and stayed the NCLAT order that appointed NBCC to take over the Supertech projects. The bench said it would examine whether the NCLAT followed the procedure under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code while appointing the NBCC as a project management consultant to complete the housing projects.
