Bug Off!

In what will be a shock to those who love the merry old 'Bug', Volkswagen AG have announced they will stop making the original rear-engine Beetle sometime later this year.

The old-style Beetle, still being produced at Volkswagen's plant in Puebla, Mexico, has had a commendably long run.

And with this, it's time for the curtains to come down on the best-selling German car that's now 70 years old. VW have made this decision in response to sinking demand for the original, much-loved Beetle.
