'India has lowest number of women on boards'

Globally, 9.8 per cent of company directors in 2011 were women, with only 58.3 per cent of companies having women on their boards. India is ranked 38 in the world in terms of women representation on boards, with only 4.8 per cent of board seats being occupied by women, according to a study by Hyderabad-based Institute of Public Enterprise.
