Advent International may put more capital in India after raising $17.5 bn

Advent has raised $17.5 billion for its ninth global PE fund. This increases the amount of capital that may be deployed in India

Advent International (Advent), one of the largest global private equity investors, on Thursday announced that it had completed fundraising for Advent International GPE IX Limited Partnership (GPE IX). The fund raised  - $17.5 billion - surpassed the $16 billion target for the fund. Advent’s previous global fund, GPE VIII, closed at $13 billion in 2016.
