AIA Engg, Greaves Cotton, Gontermann Q3 rsults

AIA Engineering net up 83%
 
AIA Engineering has recorded 83 per cent increase in net profit and 31 per cent growth in net income from sales for the Q3 ended December 2006 compared with the corresponding quarter during the financial year 2005. Net profit (after minority interest) stood at Rs 24.89 crore compared with Rs 13.57 crore during October-December 2005.
 
Greaves Cotton PAT up 66%

 
Engineering major Greaves Cotton Ltd has clocked 66 per cent jump in its PAT in the third quarter this financial year at Rs 29.8 crore as against Rs 17.9 crore in the year-ago period. The company's turnover rose 38 per cent to Rs 326 crore as against Rs 236 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal. The company's infrastructure equipment business performed well, registering 138 per cent rise in sales. It has declared its second interim dividend of 20 per cent, equivalent to Rs 2 per equity share, making the total interim dividend to 40 per cent for the current financial year.
 
Gontermann net at Rs 3.58 cr

 
Gontermann-Peipers (India) has recorded a net profit of Rs 3.58 crore in the third quarter, an increase of 119 per cent, on the back of better product mix, tight cost control, better realisation and better operating efficiency. Net turnover grew by 28.85 per cent to Rs 40.60 crore. EPS (annualised) had increased from Rs 4.71 to Rs 10.31. Net profit for April-December, went up 71.74 per cent to Rs 8.21 crore.
