Addressing mediapersons at the launch of Apollo's 51st clinic across the country and the first in Andhra Pradesh in Hyderabad today, Sangita Reddy, executive director of Apollo Group of Hospitals, said, "Our studies and research findings have indicated that there exists a need for comprehensive day-to-day healthcare requirements in the country. We intend to utilise Apollo's expertise, standards and cost competitiveness to tap into this opportunity, primarily through the franchisee route."

Stating that the idea was to supplement the group's expertise in the healthcare domain with the franchisee's understanding of the local market, she said 70 of the 200 clinics planned had already been appointed.
