Apollo Tyres net up 77% y-o-y

Apollo Tyres reported 77 per cent increase in its net profit for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007, at Rs 62.17 crore from Rs 35.07 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year.

The company's revenue at Rs 974.49 crore was up 13.6 per cent in this quarter from Rs 857.63 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2006.

JK Lakshmi bottomline rises 11 per cent

North-based cement firm JK Lakshmi Cement has posted 10.97 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 61.10 crore for the quarter ended December 2007 compared with Rs 55.06 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous year. The net sales of the company grew to Rs 282.35 crore from Rs 228.64 crore during the period, up 23.49 per cent.

Supreme Ind Q2 net up 36%

Supreme Industries recorded a net profit increase of 36.57 per cent at Rs 13.07 crore in the second quarter ended December 31, 2007, as compared with Rs 9.57 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Income from operations rose 8.27 per cent at Rs 288 crore from Rs 266 crore.

Supreme Petrochem net zooms 66%

Supreme Petrochem's net profit increased 66.51 per cent at Rs 7.16 crore for the second quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared with Rs 4.92 crore in the corresponding quarter in 2006. Net sales for the company, however, dipped 4.27 per cent at Rs 359 crore from Rs 375 crore.
