Balaji-Star terminate shareholding, joint venture agreement

Ekta Kapoor's promoted Balaji Telefilms today terminated the agreement with Rupert Murdoch's Star Group company Asian Broadcasting through which Star held a stake in Balaji.
 
As a result, the promoters of Balaji will acquire Star Group's 25.99 per cent stake in the production house that Star had taken .

The two companies have also ended their joint venture agreement signed in April 2007 for starting a regional language entertainment channel.
