Bosch expands automotive service centre network in Eastern India

Opens 125 outlets on a single day that will cater to multi-brand vehicles

Bosch Automotive Aftermarkets (BAA) has expanded its network of service centers with the opening of 125 new outlets in Eastern India as part of its aggressive plans for service network expansion.

The company simultaneously opened service centres in a single day on Friday. It opened 18 outlets in West Bengal, 24 in Guwahati, 30 in Bihar, 33 in Chhattisgarh, 5 in Jharkhand and 17 outlets in Odisha.

BAA is a division of Bosch, a supplier of technology and services in the areas of automotive and industrial technology, consumer goods and building technology.

The move is aimed at bridging the large service network gap in the country, this expansion drive is in addition to the recent launch of 100 service centres in North India, the company said in a statement, here.

 

These service centres will provide service to multi-brand vehicles across different segments of unit repair (Fuel Injection Systems, Auto Electrical Units) and entire vehicular repair.

Reaching out to the needs of the entire automotive spectrum, the service outlets include BCS (Bosch Car Service – for in-depth diagnosis and consequent repair & service of passenger cars), ECS (Express Car Service - regular and quick car service needs of a customer), EBS (Express Bike Service – for two wheeler), BDS (Bosch Diesel Service – Unit repair workshops for Fuel injection Equipments) and EM (Electric Module – for Auto Electrical repair and maintenance). 

“These service outlets provide the credible service options beyond the warranty period of the vehicle. Bosch through its strategy of PARTS (a robust range of genuine vehicle spares), BYTES (Vehicle Diagnostics) and SERVICES (Workshop Concept and Training) enjoys a dominant presence worldwide offering comprehensive solutions pertaining to automotive systems and vehicle repair,” the company said.

Bosch has 16 training centres countrywide where the workshops have easy access to the latest technology know how.

Further, Bosch in India is amongst the largest service network in technical unit repair (Fuel Injection Systems and Auto Electrical Units) and Car Service space. In addition to over 2,500 workshops, EBS is a recent foray by Bosch into the two wheeler segment service space.
 
Speaking on the occasion, S Muralidharan, Regional President (Automotive Aftermarket), Bosch Ltd said, “We are extremely bullish on the growth of our business and believe that service as a category has a lot of potential which we can leverage and are hence robustly expanding our network. Through our aggressive expansion plan we wish to fill the vacuum in the automotive service space and hope to continue the momentum in future too.”
