Cases against vanishing firms on

The ministry of company affairs has decided to revive investigations against the 107 companies that have been struck off from the vanishing companies list out of the 229 companies identified originally.

The ministry intends to find out whether these companies were guilty of violations other than non-filing of returns and punish them accordingly.

"These companies were removed from the list of vanishing companies on the basis that they resumed filing periodic returns with the registrar of companies," a ministry source said.
