BUSINESS STANDARD

Tata Chemicals has posted a 42 per cent rise in net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2003, at Rs 48.53 crore compared with Rs 34.01 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2002. Total income decreased by 6 per cent to Rs 307.90 crore (Rs 326.64 crore).
