Dabur net up 34%

Dabur India Ltd reported a 34.40 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 57.97 crore for the quarter ended December 2005, from Rs 43.13 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year.
 
Total income increased 9.89 per cent to Rs 405.85 crore from Rs 369.30 crore. The group has posted a consolidated net profit after minority interest of Rs 64.94 crore as compared with Rs 47.21 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2004-05.
 
Dabur's board also approved the merger of the three Balsara companies that it had acquired earlier - Besta Cosmetics, Balsara Hygiene Products and Balsara Home Products - into Dabur India.
