Daiichi quarterly profit falls 39%

Daiichi Sankyo said first-quarter profit fell 39 per cent after the government mandated price cuts and research and development costs climbed.

 

Net income dropped to 25.1 billion yen (over Rs 850 crore) in the three months ended June 30, from 41.4 billion yen a year earlier, the Tokyo- based company said.
