FlyDubai to connect Lucknow

Dubai’s state-owned low-cost airline FlyDubai will introduce three-times-a-week flights to Lucknow starting June 2, 2010.

FlyDubai will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Dubai and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Lucknow. A one-way fare including taxes and a hand-luggage is priced at Rs 6,300. “India represents an important market for FlyDubai and we are delighted that the cooperation between FlyDubai and Indian authorities has resulted in the opportunity for Dubai’s first low-cost airline to bring our service to Lucknow,” FlyDubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith said. An estimated 5 million Indian expatriates live and work in the Gulf.
