Goodyear opens outlets in B'lore

As part of its new retail strategy, Goodyear India has launched five branded retail outlets in Bangalore, which are in line with its new branded stores format being implemented internationally.

This is part of the company's strategic initiative in organised tyre retailing, aimed at strengthening its presence in the large tyre replacement market in the country.

The five stores opened in Bangalore include Ashoka Motors, JC Road; Ashoka Tyre Centre, Indiranagar; Auto Shoppe, Rajajinagar; Cherry Agencies Pvt Ltd, Minerva Circle and Shankar Enterprises, New BEL Road.

According to Antonio Capellini, MD, Goodyear India, "It is a great pleasure for me to announce the five new shop-in-shop Goodyear retail outlets in Bangalore, which will redefine and set new standards in tyre retailing. With excellent customer response to this new shop-in-shop concept in the Chennai outlets, we are confident of a similar response from customers in Bangalore. These news stores will strengthen our presence in the replacement tyre market in the southern region."

"The new stores offer customers much more than the whole range of latest Goodyear tyres and associated accessories. Goodyear India has entered into an exclusive tie-up wherein the new stores will also offer car-care products including Car Perfumes, Car Wash, Tyre Shine etc. making it convenient for customers to purchase their car related requirements under one roof. As the Indian consumer has become more discerning these outlets help gain consumer preference for the brand." Capellini added.

All Goodyear new-format stores will also offer wheel alignment and balancing, expert advise on tyre maintenance, advise on various tyre options for each car model, tyre check-up, alloy wheels and much more.

The display areas will ensure easy access to information on tyres for consumers so that they can make an informed decision on their purchase.
