Gopal Raheja passes away
He is the founder of the Rs 11,000-cr worth real estate developer GL Raheja Group

Gopal Raheja, the 80-year- old founder of Rs 11,000-crore worth real estate developer GL Raheja Group, died early this morning. The reasons for his death are not known.
Raheja was in a long drawn battle with Wadia Group chairman Nusli Wadia on developing land parcels in Malad area of mumbai.Similarly, Raheja is also fighting his son Sandeep Raheja in Bombay High Court, where he filed a case against him for trying usurp control of his real estate firm.
While Senior Raheja violated "family arrangement", his son denied existence of any such family arrangement.
Gopal is elder brother of Chandru Raheja, whose group K Raheja Corp owns companies such as Shoppers Stop, K Raheja and hotels such as JW Marriott in Mumbai.
