India Knowledge Fund invests in Aptivaa

India Knowledge Fund, a 50-50 joint venture between SBI Capital Markets and Japan's SBI holdings, has invested an undisclosed sum into Aptivaa Consulting, a financial risk management solutions firm.

The fund corpus is around $100 million and the investment will help Aptivaa extend its presence in key European, US and Asian financial centres, create state-of-the art infrastructure for its global delivery centre and continue to build its next generation risk management intellectual property.

Aptivaa has developed competencies in risk and compliance areas transforming international finance, such as Basel II, Credit, Market & Operational Risk, MiFID, and is now poised to launch its offerings in Solvency II which affects insurance companies around the world.

Aptivaa offers a complete range of risk management consulting and solutions to banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, asset management companies and hedge funds.

It was founded by four risk management professionals in early 2005 and has offices in the UK, Singapore and a global delivery centre in Mumbai.

Aptivaa has around 20 global clients comprising leading banks such as Standard Chartered, SAMBA Financial Group, Ahli United Bank (AUB), Arab Bank and Axis Bank.
