Seven officials of the Reliance Industries-owned IPCL have been booked in connection with the blast at the petrochemical manufacturing plant at Nagothane yesterday that claimed three lives and left 49 injured, police said today.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>Criminal cases have been registered under section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) against seven officials, including RIL-Nagothane's President S R Yadwadkar, Nogothane police said. &nbsp;</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>Others booked include vice-president (technical), plant manager, plant superviser, safety superviser, and owner and supervisor of CN Enterprises, the company engaged by IPCL for the maintenance work, they said. &nbsp;</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>The accident occurred yesterday at 1120 am yesterday when the hydrocarbon and welding gas came into contact in the plant which was under maintenance. &nbsp;</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>A fire broke at 11.20 am in a section of the LLDPE plant's unit number two which sparked-off the explosion. </P></p></table>
