ITDC posts 32% rise in sales in Q4 at Rs 105 cr

Indian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), that operates 'Ashok' hotels across India, today posted a net profit of Rs 12.06 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011.
It had a loss of Rs 13.98 crore in the same quarter last year.
ITDC's net sales during the quarter under review rose 31.67% at Rs 105.38 crore, against Rs 80.03 crore during the three months ended March 31, 2010, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Despite the growth in profit during the fourth quarter, ITDC's net loss for the year ended March 31, 2011, stood at Rs 11.11 crore against a loss of Rs 14.31 crore in FY10.
The corporation's net sales for the year ended March 31, 2011 increased 24.18% at Rs 337.25, compared to Rs 271.58 crore in the last fiscal.
ITDC scrip closed at Rs 104.55 per share on BSE, up 4.97% compared to the previous close.
