Kalyan Jewellers owner part of Forbes list of billionaires

Kalyanaraman ranked 52 in India, 1,342 globally

T S Kalyanaraman, Chairman and Managing Director, Kalyan Jewellers has made it to the Forbes list of billionaires. His networth is $1 billion (Rs 5,400 crore) as per the Forbes List.

He has been ranked 52 in India and 1342 globally, said a press release.

Kalyan Jewellers is the single largest company owned jewellery retail chain in the country in terms of number of showrooms and turnover with a single maximum bullion purchase from State Bank of India in jewellery retail crossing 5 tons. The chain has a network of 45 stores in India and plans to open 36 more by March 2014, including five in the Middle East.
