Kinetic Motors to focus on rural areas

Kinetic Motors focuses to achieve success in the rural areas after it has found the going tough in urban areas.
Company's vice president (marketing and sales), Ajinkya Firodiya told media persons, "We will have to make certain changes in the present model of our bike in accordance with the needs of the customers in rural areas. Mainly two kinds of changes would be essential to make the bike useful in the rural areas. One is provision of three head-lamps for customers in rural areas where electricity supply is a problem, the other is enhancement of bike power capacity to make it fit to bear more burden of luggage, which is very essential for rural customers".
The company whose bike models become out of date and are not appreciated in urban areas, would not cease further manufacturing of the model, but with a little or more changes make the same fit to be used by rural customers.
As such, Suzuki launched its 'Hit' model of the two-wheeler in the rural areas as the same had a poor sale in the urban areas. One of the reasons behind its failure in the urban areas is its circular headlight and the steel railing adjacent to the rear seat.
The company has, therefore, launched a new model 'Joyce' in the urban area replacing the 'Hit': the latter would be sold in the rural areas keeping in view the requirement of the village customers. The Joyce has been manufactured to resemble the bike used in Bollywood film 'Dhoom-2'.
The company, in its advertisement, has equated Joyce with one featured in the film as part of its sale promotion.
Managing director, Suzuki Motorcycle, Satya Sheel said, "We have diverted the sale of 'Hit' model to the rural areas because it is a cheaper vehicle to suit the village customers.
Hero Honda and TVS too did not stop manufacturing such models but diverted their sale to the rural areas.
