Manappuram Q2 net jumps 125% to Rs 135 cr

Manappuram Finance, a non-banking finance company, posted a 125% increase in net profit at Rs 135.3 crore for the July-September 2011 quarter. It was Rs 60.1 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income too rose a healthy threefold to Rs 625.4 crore from Rs 243.7 crore a year ago.
The NBFC's stock dropped 2% and was trading at Rs 59 at 1500 hours on Bombay Stock Exchange.
