Industrial labourers in the state will now get more with effect from April 1 as state has notified revised wages for them after taking all India consumer price index.
There are 36 scheduled industrie0s that have been mandated by the state to pay dearness allowance. “Of the total, thirty five scheduled industries or employers have to pay Rs 3995 per month or Rs 154 per day for non-skilled workers, Rs 4125 or Rs 159 per day for semi-skilled workers while the trained workers will get Rs 4725 per month or Rs 164 per day,” a government officials told BS.
The state government has also raised dearness allowance for the agriculture workers.The agriculture workers or labourers will be paid Rs 110 per day or 3300 per month. Similarly joss-stick manufacturing cottage units will have to pay Rs 11.44 for 1,000 plain joss-stick and Rs 11.91 for scented joss-sticks.
“The revised labour rates includes variable dearness allowance, those who already gets variable dearness allowance will not be paid increased dearness allowance.
The revised dearness allowance will also be paid during holidays,” the official said.
