Mphasis CFO Murthy resigns, to pursue 'other opportunities'

Company appoints VP Suryanarayanan as interim CFO

Mid-size information technology (IT) services company Mphasis today said its Chief Financial Officer Ganesh Murthy has stepped down from his role.

The company has appointed Senior Vice-President & Head- Business Finance & Tax V. Suryanarayanan as an interim CFO.

Murthy has been with the Bangalore-based company's CFO since 2009 and is moving out to pursue "other career opportunities", Mphasis said in a statement. His resignation would be effective June 3, 2014.

"Murthy has been a key leader and has been instrumental in enabling our successful transformation," said Ganesh Ayyar, Chief Executive Officer of Mphasis. "While he is going to pursue other career opportunities, he will remain our ambassador. I wish him the very best."
 

Suryanarayanan, who has an experience of close to 30 years, has been with Mphasis since 2009. He was earlier the CFO of AIG System Solutions Pvt Ltd, a captive of AIG Inc, which was acquired by Mphasis in 2009. Prior to this, Suryanarayanan was the CFO at Deutsche Software Ltd, a captive of Deutsche Bank. He has also served as the CFO of Ramco Systems Ltd in the past.

Murthy was unavailable for comments on his future pursuits, when contacted.
