NDTV in black, net profit at Rs 2.81 crore

The Prannoy Roy-promoted NDTV Ltd today announced a net profit of Rs 2.81 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2004, against a loss of Rs 19.75 crore in the same period last year. The consolidated revenue of the company has grown over 221 per cent to Rs 36.41 crore in the same period.

According to a company statement, NDTV has already grossed the total revenue of the year ended March 31, 2004, in the first six months of the current financial year itself.

The statement also said that the company's advertising client base has grown to over 500 advertisers and 1,000 brands.
