New Honda City variant at Rs 6.80 lakh

Japanese car maker Honda today introduced a new variant of its flagship sedan, Honda City, at a starting price of Rs 6.80 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

"Our customers will get extended features at a very small price. We have added various safety and luxury features on the Honda City as per customer feedback," Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) president and CEO Masahiro Takedagawa told reporters here.

The company launched the variant to commemorate 10 years of its presence in India. It has sold 1,96,000 units of Honda City so far since its launch in January 1998.

HSCI would also provide an optional leather pack on the top end variant of the car, which has been priced at Rs 8.65 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
