NTPC plans JV for 1,980Mw plant in Bihar

| National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) is forming a joint venture with Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) to set up and maintain a 1,980 Mw (3X660Mw) coal-based thermal power project at Nabinagar in Aurangabad district of Bihar. According to a release issued by NTPC to the BSE today, the joint venture agreement was signed today. NTPC and BSEB will have equal shareholding in the proposed JV. NTPC already has a joint venture with BSEB to maintain some power plants in Bihar at Barauni and Kanti in Muzzafarpur. |
